Anyone know a simple follower mod?

I just want a follower mod that increases the followers i can have. I dont want advanced tactics, or outfit changes, or scripts, or dancing. Just +5 follower limit.

Look up "More Followers" on Workshop. There's a good one where it increases the amount of followers you can have.
Don't increase it over nine.

I only mod from Workshop (I dislike downloading from external sites).
This is the best multiple followers mod I know.

You may wish to try EFF. It is advanced follower mod, but you can ignore all other options. Just set your followers essential, so that they do not die. EFF is best for compatibility reasons, because UIExtencions is added to it. UIE is getting a popular requirement for mods, so having EFF will satisfy that as well.

You can't really get a follower mod without scripts. The amount of scripts does not harm your game though. Their quality and multiply polling effects are things that are causing problems. In this sense, EFF should be very good choise to you as well.

That is a good call anyway. Skyrim Workshop is broken. I do not recommend installing scripted mods that are exlusive to it, for the time been. We have hoped that Bethesda would fix the damn thing, but they haven't bothered to do so. More information below.

Before anyone shouts "I do not...!"; we know. I also know the amount of help requests I have answered regarding this thing. Probelm isn't persistently appearing for all, but it has a high change to become persistent, when it appears.

I am not 100% sure, but if you use Wrye Bash to create a bashed patch you can use the tweak section to increase how many followers you can use without altering any other aspect of followers.

You can also adjust how many summons you can use at the same time.

I've tried UFO (which eventually broke my game) and Follower Mod by Mofakin (who is convinced that his mod is infallible and without bugs. now I have to start a new game thanks to that). I just want a simple follower mod. No ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. No scripts. No fancy menus.

UFO is sadly out of date. I used it for a long time, but time is going past it. AFT is also suffering from problems these days.

I still recommend EFF, but if you don't want to use that, then I hope you find what you are looking for. :)

This is very true and probably the easiest way to do it. Can tweak a few other things too, including max summons.

AFT has a limit of 5 followers but can store upto 32 and its a good and simple mod

I used to use AFT also and it is really simple, but after switching to EFF and using the dialog wheel, I won't ever go back.

Plus it works well with kuertee's horse command to let them ride horses.
