Anyone know how to remove this effect?

This has been stuck on my character for a long time and nothing I've tried was able to remove it.

If you use the USKP, go to Kynareths Chapel in Whiterun and use the shrines along the wall.

You have a magical effect stuck to your character by the look of things. If you are using the Unofficial patches you can go to the Shrine of Kynerath in Whiterun where their is an alcove with three shrines which will cure you of this effect.

The shrine claimed to remove my visual effects but nothing happened, and none of the visual effects in the guide matched the one I had. Thanks for the help, though.

You did use the shrines in the alcove and not the main shrine directly opposite the door? Does your menu show any active physical effects?

I have tried both shrines, and my menu displays no effects appart from my armor buffs, and yes I did try taking it off.

Have you add a mod with this effect ? I don't recognize it. A vampire attack maybe ?

Some mods (like Aesir armor) have a MCM menu for debugging, it's quite useful. ;)

I have quite a few mods, but the only possible modded spell that I've used that looks even similar to this effect was uninstalled awhile ago. Do I have to use or own the spell for this effect to happen?

Have you tried player.dispelallspells in the console?

Ah if it's tied to a mod and a desinstalled one, you can try to clean your save with the save game cleaner from Hadoram.

I have several spell mods with spells that I have not owned or used, could the effect be from one of them? Can this effect happen even without owning the spell?

For reference, the only spell mods I had when this effect appeared was Apocalypse magic and Forgotten Magic. I'm thinking it might be one of those, but I have never used a spell that has that effect.
