I'm desparate with Thiefs Guild specilal quest Silver Lining!
Please i worked so hard to get Return thieves guild to it's former glory achievment and now this quest won't star at all!
I talked to Delvin (special quest giver) and he said me to go to Markath and talk to Endon in Silver-Blood inn and he said he's a silver smith and inportant to the Guild.
Problem is after this conversation quest wont start! But everyone are acting like I'm doing the quest, Vex says i need to complete a special job Delvin gave me and Delvin says I'm supossed to be in Markath. But when i talk to Endon he just says some random lines, nothing about quest...

I tried
setstage TGTQ01 10 but it wont work.
I tried loading back but that wont work.
I tried restarting the game but that wont work.

I'm desperate, what can i do to fix this? :steamsad:

Are you running a recent version of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch and also Localised Thieves Guild Jobs? There's been some issues with that combination and the special jobs, check the LTGJ page (sticky on the posts tab) for some details, I think there's a patch up.

Yes I'm using the Unofficial Skyrim Patch.
If by saying " Localised Thieves Guild Jobs" you mean did enouf little jobs to start the special job, yes and i finished No Sotne Unturned and sp. quest for Windhelm and Solitude. I alco beated main story line for Thieves guild.

I don't know waht LTGJ is let me check it up.

Ah, no, sorry if I wasn't clear enough, I meant the mod Localised Thieves Guild Jobs (it lets you pick where to go and such). In that case, not sure, sorry!

So from reading a little, it's looking like I'll have to delete Unofficial Skyrim Patch to fix this but God know what will happen if i do that.
And when i went on Nexsus page of USKP i saw the mod was updated yesterday to the 2.1.3b and mine is 2.0.9.

Go to the guy your supposed to talk to and use these console commands
~ (click on him with your mouse)
disable <enter>
enable <enter>
~

He will disappear when you do disable and reappear when you exit the console.

Ok I'll try that in a minute.
Btw i updated to the newest USKP and only thing it fixes is everyone thinking in in the quest. I still can't activate it at all.
I'll try that disable enable thing.

Nope, still nothing is working....
I tried to do another thiny job quest with Vex then i returned to the Delvin and he still keeps repeating his line to start the quest but nothing :steamsad:

First let's see where exactly the quest is. Type sqo into the console. Look for the Silver Lining quest. What stage does it show. Use page up and page down to scroll through the results. This will list all active quests and their current stage.

I searched carefully but the quest doesn't show up in the console after typing sqo. And when it try to talk to Delvin he just says the lines for starting the quest but dialog option for accepting it doesn't show up. But when i talk to him for the first time i get the dialoge option to ask "What is this special request?" and after he says to go to Markath quest won't activate and i can't activate him to ask again...

You are my only hope because others wont see this discussion. Any more ideas?

Let's try one more console command,
startquest TGTQ01
setstage TGTQ01 10

See if that will kick start the quest. And don't worry, there are others looking in on this thread. If I miss something they will chime in., thank goodness.

Nope it's not working at all. I made shure i spelled everything good and the console accepts the commands (no errors or missing syntracts) and simply nothing happends!
It's like the whole quest was deleted from game but Delvins lines aren't....
Any more ideas?

And i know nobody will saw this disscusion becasue people look only on the new treads they are to lazy to scroll to see this problem....

do you think you can skip stage 2 in the quest line and head over direct to stage 3?

I tryed it and it's still not working even if the console accepts the comand nothing happens...
What now?

Ok, listing your load will be a necessity now, as you say, something is blocking this quest.

And those that help here on this forum will generally read all help request threads. Kind of more eyes on a problem the better.

Guys if you don't have any ideas i think I'll be forced to uninstall every single mod i have expect SKSE and one other mod i can't delete...
And btw i have 105 mods active...
So is this the last option?
