My zephyr bow is gone.... what?

Haven't played in a year, booted up the game and I no longer have a zephyr bow. Trying to figure out why, looks like it's part of the dawnguard dlc.

I don't own the DLC. BUT, I distinctly remember playing through the dwemer ruin where I picked up the zephyr bow and that mechanical dwarf thing I fought in the ruin.

I have no idea what to think of this. I know I had the bow, I played the mission where I got it, but now I don't have it in the game. I can tell because my quickbar slots, some of them are just gone. I have a quick item bind for numbers 2 3 4 5 7 etc, but 4 was where the bow was.

Can someone elaborate wtf happened. I originally purchased the game, never pirated it. And it was the regular edition not the grand edition with the dlc. I do mod the game with nexus mod manager.

A while back steam made a boo boo and accidentally gave everyone who didn't already have dawnguard a free copy. Have you had to reinstall the game recently? If you did you would have lost your free copy.

Yep, bad news is your saves will likely be broken if you don't now buy the DLC, Skyrim doesn't cope well with removing plugins/master files and continuing with saves that rely on them, especially DLC.

Yes i did uninstall it since I played last year. Just reinstalled it yesterday. that answers my question. Thanks guys.
