I can't become a Thane of Markarth[Solved]

I have a house and have helped over 5 people in Markarth, but i can't get the jarl to make me a thane. The dialogue option 'My jarl, is there anything else I can do for you?' won't appear.

Is the house fully upgraded ? also , the dialogue option is not 'My jarl, is there anything else I can do for you' but something like 'im ready to become your thane , my jarl'
I know it just because i became thane of markarth some days ago.

My House isn't fully upgained. But after I got the sheild there was nothing, the only options I get are the ones asking about the war and the dragons, I can't the jarl if I can do anything.

I checked to see what dialogue options are:
-Has the war been hard on Markarth?
-Dragons have returned to Skyrim
-Why did you arrest the Nord militia?
-The Empire lost the reach before? How?

Upgrading the house is not a requirement to be a thane.

If the Jarl has changed due to the civil war, you may need to redo the Jar's special quest. Otherwise if you have retrieved the shield, helped five citizens, and purchased Vlindrel Hall, then you should have that option. The quest description should say you've help five.

If the option is not there, it may just be an old fashioned bug. Time for the console, but save the game first (!) to make sure you don't break anything with the console. Unfortunately I can't find the quest stage to complete the quest, only the intermediate stages. Anyway, here is the Thane of the Reach quest page:

Or you can also not retrieve the shield, and do 3 jobs for the steward.

I had to use the console command, which is a bit sad. But at less I did all that was required of me
