Best combination for lakeside house?
I will have adopted children there. Currently thinking: storage, bedrooms and library/kitchen?
I dont know what to choose... Share your combinations?

There will be plenty of storage containers around the house so a special room for storage isn't really needed. I normally use Lakeview as a hunting lodge type house. Armory, trophy room and enchanter's tower. Keep the kids up north in one of the other houses.

"Adopted children have unique comments for each of the Hearthfire homes and the houses in the different cities. They will comment on local children they have played with, or places in the city they have visited. They will also comment on whether or not they like the house or city they are living in. The only house all children openly love and have no complaints about is Lakeview Manor."

So they just enjoy it more, so they go here

I briefly tried adoption, but didnt end up keeping the save. I was able to adopt one child, didnt try for a second. I had the Greenhouse, Armory and Alchemist Tower (the library didnt really intrest me and I had plenty of storage space). I still had the Small House rather than convert it into the entryway, but not sure if anybody else would use that bed. My housecarl was also my steward, so that freed up a bed, and I hadn't hired a bard or anyone else.

I usually use the bedroom/kitchen combination for Lakeview Manor, but the last wing tends to vary between playthroughs. Lakeview Manor tends to be the only house I use, as it's the one that seems to get attacked the least.

The one outside of whiterun gets attacked all the time!! like 42 times while building the thing

Do bandits need a large supply of nails and glass?!?! If they had killed me thats what they would have gotten.

I usually go with enchanter tower, alchemy laboratory and library. I like enjoying the view from the towers and reading a book while sitting under the canopy. In addition, my adopted children might benefit from a bit of culture , though some books are definitely not child-friendly :steamhappy:

That's what I had in mind, though my current character has a copy of both volumes in his inventory, and is looking forward to getting the folio as well :steamhappy:
