Aela's probably the only one I marry.
she was the first i ever married in my first playthrough 2 years ago.
o 3o
but i feel like finding someone more... helpless?
I agree, Aela is amazing (even though her true love will probably always be Skjor). But oddly enough, Aela HATES Lakeview Manor. Which is strange, since Falkreath hold is one of the places where you can enter Hircine's realm, and the Manor itself is in the perfect locale - beautiful lake, stunning mountains, and dense pine forests full of the hunt: paradise for the huntress. Who knew it, but Aela is really a CITY GIRL who loves Proudspire Manor. That always puzzles me.
I personally use console to add spouse (often female, sometimes male) and certain friends in to follower faction, so I can change their gear with EFF. I do not mess around with their classes or AI though, so they will still run in cover from the battle, unless they were combat oriented characters in the first place.
It is slightly more fun to visit Whiterun from Heljarchen hall for business, when riding with a spouse on your side - and a well armed follower to protect him/her, if spouse is not a member of any combat oriented class.
when does aela say she hates lakeview?
When you ask her "How are the kids?"
Yeah lol. Maybe it is her wild protective maternal nature coming out, but she basically calls you a dumbass for choosing that location. I thought it would be perfect for her!
Personally I prefer Heljarchen hall better. It is of course a bit strange place to have a family, but knowing what Lakeview has around it (deep caverns, deadly spiked pits, necromancers, slaughterfish in the lake, dragonpeak nearby etc.) Heljarchen hall seems like a very peaceful place. And there is plenty - if not more - places to run around and hunt as well. :p
yeah usual marriage dialogue from followers
"this is nice"
"that is nice"
:I
I love it when Vilja talks whit them about it :P
But for spouse Ysolda, Sylga.
Do you want one heartfire warrior you can marry any of the housecarls you get for the houses.
One that can handle her/him self and you can kuddle whit in front of the fire later.
but Ysolda is a sap addict

like really hardcore addict
