[Solved] Still can't get rid of Mouse Lag
I just can't get rid of the mouse lag in this game. I have tried it on 3 different gaming pc's with no success.

I can eliminate it completely by setting bMouseAcceleration and iPresentInterval to 0, but of course my frame rate rises above 60 and completely ruins the game physics/audio.

AMD Catalyst Control Center global frame rate cap doesn't work on this game, and when I use Radeon Pro to limit it to 59/60 FPS, the mouse lag returns.

I have been playing with a controller perfectly fine but sometimes I just want to use the mouse/keyboard.

Are there any other options here? I find it hard to think that everyone has this problem, but all 3 of my PC's here have it.

Might've already tried it, but have you tried changing the mouse sensitivity in the in-game settings?

Honestly, I hadn't tried that yet. But I just went to try it and I still have a floaty mouse in the menus :(

Look up 'Skyrim tweak guide' - there will be a section on completely removing mouse acceleration. It involves a few more .ini lines than simply changing bMouse to 0.

Try this

copy and paste the following four lines under the [controls] section of Skyrim.ini:

fForegroundMouseAccelBase=0

fForegroundMouseAccelTop=0

fForegroundMouseBase=0

fForegroundMouseMult=0

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't have a [Controls] section in my Skyrim.ini, but it was in my SkyrimPrefs.ini either way I tried it in both files with no change at all in performance

If you are using vsync that could be responsible for input lag. Make sure you have triple buffering enabled.

With an AMD card, you can only force triple buffering for OpenGL applications (inside the Catalyst Control Center).

I am trying to do it with RadeonPro, but not seeing any difference.

UPDATE: Solved
This is for an AMD R9 290x with AMD Catalyst Driver 15.10

1. Use Radeon Pro to force global triplebuffering (thanks OMGWTFBBQKITTEN)
2. Disable VSYNC in Skyrim.ini with iPresentInterval=0
2. Disable Mouse Acceleration in SkyrimPrefs.ini with bMouseAcceleration=0
3. Download the FPS Limiter Mod -> http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34/?
4. Don't let nexus manage this mod, manually download it, and copy the files to your Skyrim directory, and edit antilag.cfg to cap the FPS at 1 less than your monitors refresh rate (59 in my case)
5. ...
6. Profit

Thanks everyone that helped in the thread!
