I would say Civil War Overhaul is a must have but I haven't gotten to that part yet to judge it. Sounds awesome tho.
I found you definitely need ENBoost to cap your framerate or some glitches happen with the water and supposively the havoc physics.
Requiem is a good throwback to previous Elder Scrolls games. I think in Morrowind if you went too far north of the starting town, there was a highwayman with a battleaxe would would one-shot you if you didn't pay him. Well, now every bandit is like that! It can sometimes throw a troll outside Riverwood too. You know, like when Arena and Daggerfall threw whatever at you whenever.
Frostfall is a load of fun for the added thread of freezing to death. Can't play a beast race tho cause cloaks use the tail slot. :( Also you really gotta plan around the weather sometimes, and it LOVES to rain. Luckily if you have a companion they'll drag you back to a tavern, or set up a camp.
If you get frostbite tho, he can't saw your legs off to save you because he'll already have sawn off his own arms...
Some must have imo are:
Cutting Room Floor; Deadly Dragons; Dragon Combat Overhaul and CW Overhaul; Trade and Barter; ESF Companions; Thieves Guild Requirements; DynDOLOD and Unique Uniques.
Dragon Soul Relinquishment is a favorite but I am not really sure if it's a good idea, I've never used it much because I've used to play SkyRe and now PerMa, both of which make the bonuses from DSRelinquishment kind of OP.
Frostfall's too heavily scripted for shallow reason, even tho I've played it extensively and loved it, I'm using Campfire + Art of the Catch while in wait for Last Seed and Frostfall 3, apparently Chesko (MA MAN) is working on a much more polished version of FF to use with all of these other 3 mods, Last Seed promises to surpass iNeed and RND both in every aspect.
As for general immersion I think Expanded Towns and Cities with all it's modules is a must-have, but it can cause serious issues.
Better Bounties' also in 100% of my playthroughs, first the predefine, and now the new MCM version, I do so it makes more sense killing off giants and dragons in bounty quests, I mean, 100g for a Dragon that could easily wipe out the entire hold doesn't make much sense. I've also kind of focused in rebalancing the game so you can "choose a profession". So I also use Hunterborn and give the Valuable Pelts modifier a go, always.
with perma I've being using CCOR but I think I hate it, as well as WAFR which I also think I hate, their "fixes" do not fix much tbh, they more like make the game more glitched and swaps weapon dmg so to make Left Smithing tree useless (they give the best dmg to Orcish, Dwarven, Ebony and Daedric making Dragonbone weapons and Glass pretty much worthless meta-wise)... CCOR also does re-changes to what PerMa/SkyRe already change for perk requirements. idk, I think those 2 mods are a no-go but they are kind of needed for PerMa, and explicitly needed for SkyRe if you use the most updated ReProccer.
Immersive Armors' also a great addition, but it adds so many lore-unfriendly stuff and at times ugly worthless stuff that it loses porpuse, but I do know about the MCM and always ban non-sensical stuff it adds, still it's annoying to mandatorily waste time through MCM to shut those down every single playthrough.
I like A Matter of Time too, always use it...
Familiar Faces I've being trying to use for ages, but it's so glitchy and it's only for subsequent playthroughs that I've never actually had the chance of importing a character through it. So I've being considering giving this mod a no-go too, it's there just for the sake of being considering I've not being able to finish a single play-through with a mod setup that satifies me (PerMa's fault for I've used to have a "perfect" build for SkyRe, but SkyRe's being abandonned and "kind of replaced" by PerMa)
I've being using Immersive Creatures too... Awesome and possibly another MUST HAVE.
Pumping Iron's fun but I'm afraid it might overload scripts and it isn't really essential if you have Dawnguard and a neck for going "RP-off" to change your appearence when u think it's time (it's also more complete using the Face Sculptor instead of PI given you can also simulate hair-growth and warpaint additions, the lack of barbershops and "makeup" shops' also something I've never really understood about Skyrim)
I've used Better Vampires a few times in the past and installed it again, but I'm afraid that it isn't much of a smart addition. It does make vampire race more interesting, but it is extremely heavy scripted and glitch prone when used in combination of Perk Overhauls and stuff that change combat...
Immersive Sounds Compendium + Audio Overhaul are also MUST HAVES! But I've only discovered them recently...
And last but not least: Thunderchild - > This one makes me divided, because it makes being a Dragonborn a thousand times more interesting but it also makes you overpowered with Shouts. Meaning: You can pretty much not lvlup anything in the game and go for a pure shouting PC and wipe out everything with Fire Breath... I mean, it's literally one shoting anything the game can throw at you unless u go play in legendary, that makes everything else useless and shouting a necessity (i've being there, with overhauls like perma or skyre, legendary diff is a no-go, specially if combined with DCO which makes fighting dragon's in Adept a pretty hard job, on Legedary they are nearly unkillable or it will take u 10 minutes or more of micromanagement to kill a single dragon.)
Frostfall's actually really really stable for me, but I tried skinning a wolf with Hunterborn to test it out and it took all day, then it crashed. I leave it off and just keep it for the patch with RND and Requiem. I only ue RND because INeed didnt work with something, but I forget what.
As for Pumping Iron, IDK I considered it but I didn't want to end up looking like I abuse steroids.
Here's one for the list: CASM. It's just as essential in Skyrim as it was in modded New Vegas. It autosaves every few minutes (but it's always a full save) and they're named. You can also write a full save with it with the push of a key whenever you want. There's just a little freeze for a couple seconds when it saves.
iNeed's more stable and much lighter, not to mention it requires no patch ESPs, while RND requires you to nearly double the load order with useless patch ESPs that only switch HP gain on foods for "satiation values", with iNeed you can do that on the fly (not such a good idea) or simply add food from other mods/dlc through it's system (it has a spell to add or you can simply eat/drink new food and you get prompted to define which is which once every playthrough)
CASM seems like a good idea, I might need that thing hahaha =D
PS: iNeed's bad tho, has a bit less additions than RND and is very very glitch prone, but, it's better than RND, more polished. My recommendation lies with waiting for Last Seed.
Now that I think about it, it might be the latest Requiem Ineed was supposed to not work with.
There was a mod for Oblivion that added a bunch needs and meters, and it was like one whole animated eat/drink/pee/wash your ass package. For food, it just looked for restore fatigue and the object's weight. It was stable...I think... Oblivion was kinda far from stable to begin with for me.
I'll have to check out Last Seed. I won't use it tho cause I already started my game and with Requiem it's hours of chopping wood. Removing RND might make my saves unstable in the long run. I already had to mess with Familiar Faces (there's a jerk on the support team who thinks the glitches are my fault), and various changes to the requiem load order so I can eat anything and RND will recognize it. It'd be Oblivion and Morrowind all over again by level 10 lol.

With Vanilla setup of perks it's easy to become godlike, so ASIS kind of balances that out. Still if u are into RPing ASIS can ruin your game for it's too non-sensical and makes every single place in the game over-populated (making the game more prone to crashes) haha
I'm also thinking about reducing my DynDOLOD to medium instead of High, there are details that are impossible to see at distance and so making a mesh for those seems rather stupid haha
As for DynDOLOD, haven't quite worked up the nerve to take the time out for setting that up yet.
I was so gonna install this one horror mod inspired by the Souls series called Darkend. The atmosphere looked so awesome and it has huge boss battles and non-linear dungeoney areas, but I hear Requiem makes anything based on the giant REALLY difficult to solo, and it somehow affects the bosses. It's not like you can just, ya know, roll out of the way of their attacks.
In Skyrim it seems you can only tank hits in various ways or kite the enemy and, according to Brodual's review, Darkend has its fair share of taurus demon-like boss encounters on narrow paths, so umm with Requiem they might as well yell "fore!" when they swing at you.
OOH OOH!!!! Mod request: Golf hole with a flag in Riverwood!
I would recommend checking it out tho if you don't use Requiem. Darkend looks really cool. A lot of Z axis and narrow paths overlooking huge pits, and puzzles and stuff.
Back to Ordinator though, it's super simple to set up. And it has the complexity the other big overhauls put into their perk systems, if not more since that's all the mod focuses on. I didn't compare them side by side when I switched, I just remember wanting to get away from the mess of PerMa's set up haha. I do remember being pleasantly surprised with my choices though. It has 425 perks at last count.
It's only complete incompatibilities are other perk mods (like PerMa), it comes working well with most mods out of the box, and the author mentions the ones that may need a patch. In fact, the author, Enai Siaion, makes a lot of good stuff. I also use their Standing Stones mod, Aurora. Annnd actually I think Apocalypse is under their name as well. Here's Ordinator so you can check it out. I think most, possibly all, of the perks are actually written on the Nexus page too.
