How to not get bored of skyrim?
I've played well over 500 hours of skyrim (when I still played on xbox). But now I can't find enjoyment out of the game anymore.

It's very clear to me that there's still a thriving community for skyrim since more than 20k people playing it daily. I would assume that this is due to the modding scene that skyrim (along with other elder scrolls games) has developed.

I've tried to get into modding but when I boot up the game with a bunch of mods it just feels like skyrim but with a lick of paint.

So I was wondering for those of you who obviously know what you're doing when it comes to modding for some advice on what mods I should get that may or may not help me get into the game again.

Some of the big mods that I've already tried are:
-Requiem
-Frostfall
-RND/iNeed

Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend some graphical mods. Even if you're having trouble running skyrim as-is, you can install a texture pack at 512x512 resolution, which is the same resolution as the HD DLC. It should give the game a slightly different look. On top of that, try a light ENB.

For game-changing mods, just look through the Nexus under most-endorsed and see if you can't find something you want. I can't really think of any specific mods to recommend, but there are so many out there, you'll have to find something eventually.

You might want to try mods that influence certain parts of the game instead of mods that affect the entire game. For example, follower mods, housing mods, etc.

Try out DLC sized mods such as Falskaar, moonpath to Elsweyr, Wrymstooth. All of which are lore friendly and rich with content.

Use Google and seatch for any content for skyrim you can think about.

Some good mod, Helgen Reborn, Alternate Start, Blackthorn - A Buildable Town in The Rift.

Here are 3 direct links to mods that have serious impact on the freshness of the game without being difficult to install:

there's a Conan mod i forget the name quite that's well done the other suggestion isn't so much about mods but how you play, personally i like to role play my characters, no fast travel, go exploring avoid the quests..... spawning 50 Skeevers in Whiterun is damn funny

I feel the same way. I never get far with huge amout of mods installed. What I suggest is that you take a lottle break (3 weeks or more) and then come back and try not to play more than 2 hours a day. Other than that, get some graphical mods and audio overhauls, as well as some quest mods. Try to overhaul the very general parts of the game, so that they don't feel as familiar and used.
You can't. Just do things other than computer gaming for a change.

Honestly if the simple (but powerful) additions of Frostfall and any Needs mods are only "a lick of paint" in your eyes - I'd say you're done and its time for another game.

Not being rude - just honest - you can't force these things after all.
