Riekling Quest... To do or not to do?

Alright so I did the first 2 small quests for the Riekling Chief on Solstheim in Thirsk Mead Hall, but now he's telling me I need to go kill some Nords. The good guy in me says to side with the Nords, because Thirsk was their home before the Rieklings took over. However, the Skyrim player in me says I should join the Rieklings because Riekling followers can hold your junk and fight along with your more powerful follower... I need help deciding and I need it quick.

It is more beneficial helping the Rieklings, but helping the Nords adds a few quests.

In addition to being able to recruit them as followers, a small group of Rieklings can occasionally appear randomly anywhere in Skyrim to help you out even if they are not currently a follower.

Killing the Nords can also give you access to Nordic Weapons and Scaled armor at a very early level.

That's what I thought. How many quests are we talking, and is there anything really good I can get from the Nord quests?

I'm not sure, it is only a few quests and I don't believe the rewards are very good. Re-read my previous post as I edited it.

I'm level 34, and have full Ebony gear. Nordic and Scaled armor are inferior to what I have, so I guess I will be choosing the Rieklings.

Yeah I only mentioned it so the info was complete. If you do that quest around level 1, you get good armor and weapons way before you should by helping the Rieklings.
