Skjor is missing when I bring Aela her shield

When I bring Aela her shield, Skjor is missing. Farkas is in his room down the hall and Aela is right where she should be. I have tried reloading and I have tried prid 0001A691 moveto player. It then says "Compiled Script not saved" and he doesn't appear. I have never used the console commands before in Skyrim so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

Any suggestions?

Have you finished the quest The Silver Hand? Otherwise:

The headquarters of the Companions, the overturned vessel Jorrvaskr, is the oldest building in Skyrim, and Skjor sleeps in the living quarters between midnight and 8am. At 10am he finds a seat at the huge table in the upstairs area and enjoys a three-hour meal. At 3pm he exits Jorrvaskr and spends five hours practicing in the courtyard or relaxing on the porch. At all other times he can be found wandering around Jorrvaskr, eating, relaxing, or talking to the other members.

It still says Compiled Script not saved. Still no Skjor. I have also waited in game for about 2 days now and there is no brawl going on upstairs.

I am at the beginning of the Companions questline. Vilkas just "tested my arm" and told me to take his sword to the skyforge. So no Silver Hand yet. He should still be alive, right?

I have. He is no where near Jorrvaskr.

Oh my god, well, i found him. He is outside of Whiterun, slightly under the map. He isn't moving at all. Well, this sucks.

That's weird.

If teleporting to him works, you should be able to teleport him to your position too, but you said it didn't work.

I have tried those commands so many times I have lost count. here is a screenshot. If I go to my own map, we should be in a giants camp. There are floating trees behind me and there should be a creek in front of me but there is no water or cliffs.

I think that image is inside Whiterun, but outside the map. I am not sure how to get him back in the map if the moveto player command isn't working.

You might try using these commands, but you should make a backup save first.

For anyone having trouble with this, I had the same issue, and got it to work by moving Skjor to my location. I did prid 1a691<enter>moveto player. He popped up right in front of me and we resumed as if nothing ever happened :P

Late to the party, but just in case anyone else has the same issue.... check to see if the fight up stairs is still going on. If they are just standing there, just punch one of the two and put your fists away. worked perfectly for me! why, i've no idea, but it ended the event and moved everyone else off.

This annoying and stupid and highy common bug is related to the fight. This is the 3rd time it happened to me out of 10 times. This time I walked in and the fight took way longer than it should have for unknown reason. Finally it finished but now we have Skjor nowhere to be found, Aela is in conversation with nobody, most importantly Farkas does not show up and you can't join companions. Great and my last save before the fight was over 2 hours ago. Grrr!
