Skyrim Neck Seam Issue
I've had this issue for a while. Whenever I look at my character from the ground while he's wearing armor that shows his neck, I can see a big gap between his chest and neck. Without any armor on, it's just a very odd looking...miscoloration? It's not exactly your normal miscolor, but the head skin texture and the body skin texture don't..."flow" well, I should say. I downloaded a tool that an author of a mod recommended and began to look for the actors file located in
Meshes, but didn't find it. I DO have over 250 mods installed, just so you know.

The weight fix is not really a fix since I would like my character to be all buff. Why else would he have a lot of lady friends? It's not because he's the dragonborn, nooo, surely not...

So just looking for any other tips and advice. I don't think it's an ENB issue since it's a GAP.

A quick answer is the most appreciated one.

I'd post pictures, but I'm not sure how to do that...

neck seams usually mean your armour mesh your wearing isnt the same as the body mesh ie your trying to use a CBBE on a UNPB body as an example thus is bad things happen

Er, since I used the words "he" and "buff" and the like, my character is male.

are you using NMM or MO?
If you're using NMM Switch to MO, and switching overwrite orders on your body/face altering mods should be enough to fix it.

Also, you can make 250 mods work but cant figure out how to post pictures... Huh..? >_<

You could try looking up CBBE Texblend but I'm not sure if that supports males, I've never used it but i believe it was made exactly for neckseam issues.

Sorry for the late reply. Kinda forgot about this post.

I am using MO, but I don't know what you mean by "switching overwrite orders". You can do that? I have Better Males and Fine Face Textures for Men. The latter overwrites and the former is overwritten.

-_- I'm not familiar with ways to post pictures on Steam or if there is some sort of site I could use.

Tried Texblend about three times. Didn't really work.

Again, sorry for the late reply. If I get another one from you, that'd be great.

Can confirm it's not an ENB issue. Switched from Real Vision to Bleak and I still see miscolorations on NPCs. I'll look up how to switch overwrite orders and see if that fixes it. If I can find a tutorial...

Most of the time when you start using textures and normal maps you'll find some incompatibiliys. such as head not fitting body or head textures being the wrong color.

Since fine face textures only replaces the head

My advice would be to head over To better males page or find face textures page and see if they have a list of recommended textures to go along with either of the replacers.

What meshes are the SOS body meshes? I use that mod. I'm wondering if that mod might have something to do with the miscoloration as well.

EDIT: I'm honestly starting to give up. I've tried many different body mods with mods that should have worked, but my body is always lighter and "brighter" than my head. The only mod that actually fixed it for the most part was SkySight skins and that one doesn't even have compatibility for SOS! Unless someone here can tell me what they use for blending male skin textures, what body and face and whatnot, I think I'll just leave this post alone. Maybe wait for the patch. Really don't want to...I tried S.A.M, but that corrupted my save and somehow killed my character...
