Skyforge Steel Sword.

I'v had this weapon since the very beginning of the game and I have not been able to find a one-handed sword more or at least equal damage except the Dawnbreaker. Should I just look around more or is there actually no better one-handed swords better then it.

It does the same base damage as Elven Sword. So Glass, Ebony, Daedric, and Dragonbone are all better for dps purposes.

This. There are skill level situations where a tempered Skyforge sword will get equal stats than one of these superior tempered swords, but the Skyforge sword will inevitably get outscaled by them before long.
