Not engough charge for enchanting?
When I try to enchant my sword with an enchantment, it says that there is "insufficient charge" What am I missing? How can I enchant my sword?

It sounds like it is alredy enchanted so find a soul gem with a soul in it and then charge it up from the inventory by going to the sword and presing the button called charge. I use a controler so for me the button is the RB button i don't know what the button is if you are using the mouse it will tell you at the bottom of the screen.

Certain enchants such as banish do not work with a petty soul gem unless your skill is high and/or with perk points in the skill

Okay, and by the way. Now that I remember already enchanting my sword, I named it as well, will that register on the item once it is charged?

Enchanted weapons can't be re-enchanted, so a weapon will keep whatever name you gave it forever!

You recharge enchanted weapons in the inventory list. Highlight the item to recharge, press the "Wait" key ('T' by default). You will have to select a filled soul gem to be consumed in the process.

Also, note that weapon enchantments are counted as Destruction magic. Equipping items enchanted with Fortify Destruction will lower the amount of charge drained with each weapon strike. Having 100% cost reduction will eliminate the need to recharge your weapon.

Woah, that's crazy. I never knew that. I went the 'Unarmed Badass' route with my character so I never really used weapons, but that's really useful to know.

Yeah. There are a few uniquely enchanted artifact weapons which can't be recharged, so this is especially useful for those weapons.

Thanks, that advice is extremely helpful but quick clarifications. Fortify Destruction, that's a potion right? And 100% cost reduction, what skill is that a perk for?

Fortify Destruction potions increase damage, Fortify Conjuration and Fortify Alteration potions increase duration, Fortify Restoration increase ammount healed, and Fortify Illusion potions increase their strength (level of targetes affected)

It's not a skill, its an enchantment. Anything that reduces the casting cost, like helms, rins, armor or necklaces of the appropriate spell type. Yould need 4 items of Fortify 25% to get 100% reduction.

Okay, I just got back on Skyrim to charge my sword and play some, I bought a common soul gem (common) and pressed "T" to charge my blade but it didn't work.

If you've rebound your keys it could be something else. When you're in the weapons menu and highlight your weapon, the tooltips at the bottom should show which the Charge key is.

Which weapon are you trying to recharge? It's not one of the non-rechargeable artifacts, is it?

That video is helpful for recharging but I'm not "re"charging, I'm charging first time. How do I charge it first time?

Fixed it, went to enchanting table and enchanted it.
