I've lost my wife !!

Okay, this may sound a bit silly, but my wife just ran away after the marriage at Temple of Mara in Riften. I don't understand why she walked out of the gate so quickly, and after that i just can't see her anymore !! I do actually own a house in Whiterun, but i didn't see my wife there. Is this a glitch in Skyrim??!! Can anyone help me ??

did you go to her house or residence? who did you marry?

go to another city inn or other interior site and wait for 10+days.

In most cases the NPC spouse disappears after exiting the Temple of Mara, unless you exit dialogue with Maramal and rush after them before they reach the door. If this happens, you may find your new spouse in the spot where you first met; you can then talk to the person to decide where you'll both live. In some cases, the spouse seems to disappear from the game completely. Pc22.pngThis is easily solved by using the console command player.moveto (NPC RefID), which will move you to the spouse position.

I'm think this always happens. The moment you say, "I do, now and forever." They leave the Temple. They should be headed back to their own home, but it may take them a while. The first time I got married, it was to Ysolda. Lydia was at the wedding, so I recruited her and did the Skooma smuggling quest, and I think one other dungeon. I headed back to Whiterun, but Ysolda wasn't at the market, the Bannered Mare, her house or Breezehome. I waited around a little longer and then left town, and she was finally walking towards the stables.

I think that she just cheated on me ! Such a badass wife, she promised that she will be with me forever, and after a second, she left me. Fastest break up ever !!

They always disappear going to their home. Home however is subjective. If you have talked and made her a steward, that is where she will be. However this may take 3 days or more. I once followed Lydia and helped her out in battles with every spider, bear, sabre tooth, bandit in Skyrim. She never once said a thing, and sometimes here path was as crooked as a drunken skooma user. She eventually arrived at home.

Oh, ok guys, i just found my wife, thanks for your helps. When i came back to Riften to do some stuffs there, i just saw her walking around in the Temple of Mara. Still don't understand why she did that to me, did she wants to play hide and seek or something. But anyway, i just found her

Naw. She wasn't playing Hide & Seek. She was playing Hide the Salami with Brynjolf.

That happened to me too on my first playthrough. It hasn't happened to me on the next (insert large crazy number) I've played. Anyway glad you found her.
