Player Headtracking problems
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23600/?

I have a problem with this mod and i can't get rid of it even with the patches. My character keeps tracking the same person even when i move far away from them or start talking to someone else and none of the settings in the mcm menu are having any effect. Even settings from the Player Headtracking 3_3 Patch mod by NaughtyColt are not working like crosshair tracking simply does not work i have selected the settings to track for only 3.5 seconds but my character ignores this and just keeps looking at the same person.

As i mentioned above i have the Player Headtracking 3_3 Patch by NaughtyColt ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61639/? ) and the script patch by Myztikrice and even tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the mod and tried using the console command (SetQuestAliases Headtracking) from the descriptions page but nothing seems to fix it.
I have had this problem for a while and really want the mod to work properly because i am fed up with my character constantly looking over her shoulder.

If anyone knows a way to fix this please help.

PS - I have asked this question elsewhere to try and get an answer.

I'd suggest doing the simplest thing. Uninstall both mods, launch the game. Load a save, and then save again. Exit the game, install both mods, and make sure that Patch loads after the original mod. Maybe something just got stuck.

Oh. Missed that part.
Well, you can always try a different mod.

This is a known bug with Player Headtracking unfortunetly. I suffered from it too every now and again. I actually think it may just be a bug with headtracking in general as NPCs will also keep headtracking you if they lock on and you run past them.

Unfortunetly I don't have a fix for you with that mod, but I personally use
Lightweight Headtracking and Emotions
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59406/?
The mod has a safe guard built in against this in that if you sprint for a short distance it stops your headtracking. It also only headtracks when out of combat and is implimented much lighter so if you are running a lot of scripts you may get better results with that anyway

Yes i might have to if i can't fix my problem.
There is this one
Lightweight Headtracking and Emotions
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59406/?
But it looks very basic and in the video the character is quite slow to react and the one i'm using at the moment has lot's of options and i would like to try and fix it.

What is that mod like any issues?
Nazenn Oct 22, 2015 @ 4:05am
If it has issues I would have mentioned them or just flat out not recommended it
Avrie Oct 22, 2015 @ 4:05am
I don't have a fix per-se ... but I would remove both mods as recommended above, but after you reinstall the mods and adjust your load order with "Loot" run TES5Edit, on the opening dialog box right click and choose "select none" then select both (and only) the mod and the patch. right click on each after the background loading process has completed and select "apply filter for cleaning" and see what pops up ... it might at least give you an idea of what the problem is.

As always "Cover thy but" read the guide and the read me files on the mods description page. Some mods require dirty edits to function correctly and "fixing" them could potentially make it worse or break a save. If it flags something as missing a dependancy, or the mod is dirty and you can fix it with a simple cleaning (IE: remove the "Item same as master", and "Undelete and disable references" Please make a note of what was fixed and let the mod author know so he can update the patch.

Good luck

avrie05, unless LOOT or a mod author has specifically stated to clean a mod you should NEVER clean out edits, because some of them may be needed for the mod to run and just generally going through and cleaning random mods will most likely result in something being broken!

LOOT says the mod has NO dirty edits and NO conflicts.

Agreed, that's why I said to make a note of it and contact the mod author ... the whole second part of my post was a warning why not to just fix it ... though it's real early here and after re reading it I didn't word it to well ... Sorry

I use the mod Nazenn recommends and like it a lot, although once in a while my characters do get a rather peculiar look on their faces (most noticeable if I've used 'tfc 1' to pause time to take screenshots.) It usually vanishes in a few moments, I think sometimes the animations just kind of go a bit overboard or something? As I understand it, the mod just makes the character use vanilla facial animations in non-vanilla situations (rather than the dead-eyed gaze they normally seem to have...), but once in a while in my setup they seem to distort slightly. This may well be an issue with my game/other mods, though, and not actually the fault of this mod. In any case, it doesn't last long, is only once in a while, and if it does last longer than I'd expect, sprinting or unsheathing/sheathing a weapon usually clears it.

Forgot to say - I used to use the other mod, and had no end of trouble with it, I used to just activate it for screenshots and revert to a save before I added it, because I found it unplayable after a while.

The in built reset for all the mod features really is fantastic for that one.

As far as the facial expressions, it may be the disgust emotion which can appear around corpses or people your character hates. The vanilla animation for that is really odd.
If you want to try and identify the specific emotion, start a new game with racemenu which allows you to toggle them all at various strengths while in character select
