Mixtures in favourites?
Am I the only one that doesn't really use mixtures? I don't mean stuff like frost resistance or paralysis poison, I mean a common Potion of Minor Healing, Potion of Healing, Potion of Ultimate Magicka, etc.
I just don't use them too much. When I feel I am at low HP, I'll run away and heal with a spell. Or, if I run out of Magicka or Stamina, Ill just run around, avoiding hits, waiting for it to recharge.
I only use potions in absolute neccesity, when I am very low HP and there is a power attack coming straight at me, which I won't be able to escape. ONLY then will I use potions.

It's not some kind of strange challange I've put on myself. I just think that instead of using my potion, I can use a spell to heal and increase my Resotration skill.

Anybody else feels like that?

P.S.
I named this thread ''mixtures in favourites'' because I saw a lot of people adding potions to their favourites and just clicking the button like crazy when at low health

Same here. It's not that I don't have pots in my inventory. It's just I almost never have any occasion to use them. I usually give them all to my follower (if I happen to have one). I get hit so rarely , that I pretty much never need one. But I do keep 1-2 in inventory for emergencies. You never know. Might end up needing one. With my current main char I have reached level 29 and used 2 healing potions. In both cases I didn't actually need to take it. I just was impatient for health regen.

I use them a fair bit, though on my main game I'm using the new Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul which IMO vastly improves on the vanilla mechanics, you can no longer spam potions because the last one you take gets 'cancelled out' by the next one, it also has the option to make restore potions work over 1, 5 or 10 seconds (and I think the same is true for poisons). It also changes found/bought potions so they are in line with what an NPC with various levels of alchemy skill/perks could make, and it changes things like getting rid of the nonsensical thing where you can mix 5 septims worth of ingredients, make an absolutely awful potion (fortify conjuration + damage magicka regen, anyone?) that you can sell back to the same PROFESSIONAL ALCHEMIST who just sold you the two crappy ingredients. Which, in turn, makes the Purity perk worthwhile. (Also, it overhauls the alchemy tree, I suspect it is NOT Requiem compatible because they both make massive changes to alchemy perk tree and potions and food, but it can be used with Ordinator if you load it after Ordinator so it replaces the alchemy tree.)

I never usually put them in my favourites, though, mostly because I can never remember which strength I've put in there. My current secondary character is using conjuration/restoration/heavy armour/avoiding getting hit as much as she can, and is basically only using magicka potions, it's handy to be able to just chuck nearly all my healing potions at Uthgerd for when she goes striding off into the distance and I can't find her to heal her...

I've got potions and poisons for all kinds of scenarios favourited as a last resort "just in case".
You know, these cases, where the last guy of a dungeon has like 500-1k HP and one/two-hit-kills you.

I still chug way less than i can find. Even paralyze poisons add up as i keep exploring.

I very rarely use potions or shout in combat. I have used shouts perhaps 6 times since I got the game. Potions, I make then, I enjoy making them and I always use Fortify Smithing when making armor or weapons.

Never put them in favorites.

I use shouts a lot, I'll admit.

Personally, shouts I use a lot- potions? Ehh, not so much. I hate brewing, but I pick up health potions I find strewn around dungeons and stuff. They can be useful, sometimes.
