Revealing the unseen Quest (problem opening door)
I am working on the Revealing the Unseen quest. I am in the rom(area) of Mzulft Aerdome and trying to enter the next room. States that a key is required. I can find no key. I read that a voice would speak to me and open the door. That has not happened. anymore Ideas?
Thanks I am retired and need help. LOL

Have you checked the body of Gavros Plinius?

Try:
open the console
click on the door
use 'unlock' command (without ' )
if it says: unlocked door it should now be open (may need activating multiple times)

The key is in a dwemer chest guarded by a automaton.

Any idea where the chest is located? I have started from the beginning twice and thought I checked everything. Is Gavros the person at the beginning? Yes i got a key from him. didn't work on the aforementioned door.

Gotcha, didn't know which door so I started at the beginning.

Mzulft Aedrome, in a chest in the easternmost room

It is not always wise to use console commands to open doors.
You can actually ruin the quest.

To OP.
Down the corridor is a door that requires the Observatory key to unlock. Beyond that door is a ramp leading up to another locked door that requires a key.

Do you have The Unoffical Patches?
There are some bugs in that quest that are fixed in those.
