OSA/Osex animation issues
Yeah i know right, another weirdo downloading these mods etc. etc. ... whatever man.

However, i have had some big f*ckin problems with this mod. I am not sure what exactly is causing the problems, and thats kind of my question. But anyways, i'll start with the symptoms.

I downloaded OSA and Osex, as well as ALL required mods for it to work (in the exact order as tutorials tell you to). I went into the game, i got the OSA menu up no problem (except big delays sometimes, however this is probably separate problems). I found the Osex button and everything in the menus looked right to me. However, the problems start when i press play animation. It takes a while for it to start (again probably a separate issue) and when it does the two characters are making the pose as if they are holding each other but are standing a few meters away from each other, sometimes also facing away from each other. I read somewhere that the "moveto player ..." command might help here, wich it doesn't at all most of the times. However, i got it to work once but they where moving away from each other again straight away. Every animation works perfectly except that the characters are away from each other. Changing between animations doesn't matter, the problem remains. Another thing that is very common is that when the animation starts my character is falling through the ground or moving sideways out of the map.

I just realized that i can't seem to find Osex in the Data files when i start Skyrim. Im not sure if this is relevant to my problem since if it where it feels like it shouldn't show up in the game at all.

On the FNIS page on Nexus these where the presented solutions for animation issues:
"You have ignored ERRORS or WARNINGS in your last generator run. Don't do this. They are there for some reason."
- i have not ignored any warnings as far as im aware of.

"You are running a cracked Skyrim. In the past apparant cracks have shown symptoms I have not seen in Steam versions."
- nope, paid steam version.

"Your game cache is corrupted. Run Steam Verify Cache (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -> RMB -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity Game Cache ...). Another reason not to use cracks."
- yes, have done this. it changed nothing.

"You are running a custom skeleton which comes with a skeleton.nif only, and not a corresponding skeleton.hkx. Installing XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended - XPMSE first usually should fix the problem."
- tried downloading just in case, nothing changed.

Have you tried asking on the mod page? That would probably be the best place to ask, though there are some of us here who probably use the mod and could probably give and answer - unfortunately, I'm not one of them.

Also, since you stated you checked FNIS, I am guessing that there were no warnings or issues that it showed. However, it might be a good idea to copy and paste the FNIS screen so that we can see exactly what the messages are that it is showing.

And yeah, there are those of us who comment to help, and those who just comment - as in any forum (though once in a while some of us may give some good natured ribbing - LOL!)

Yes I've tried asking on nexus, no answers so far. I am not on my computer right now but I'll copy 'n' paste it asap.

Good luck - it is damn frustrating when things start glitching out.

If youre using mod organizer I'd suggest disable mod
make a new save and then enable them.

What does your load order look like? Whenever a problem like this occurs its worth starting there to see if you have any conflicts, do you use LOOT?

i tried to change the load order on the screen that pops up before actually starting the game and that actually seemed to fix it (somewhat). However, the menus are really slow and hard to handle (however, so is the dialogue menus so its probably because of another mod). I have a somewhat idea what mods it could be. So i am planning on starting a new save and try disabeling them and see if it will fix that. Thanks for the help

If stuff is slowing down you may be running into the limitations of your hardware (I doubt you're running up against game/software limitations)

I will run loot and auto sort what I have every time I download a new mod (unless the mod specifies otherwise). It is a great tool, If you download it, sort your game using the option on the top right of the page, it can automatically work out where most things should go, and it will inform you if you're missing any plugins, or if there are compatibility issues.
If your mod is now working as it should but its running with a delay, that could just be due to your hardware not being able to run as many scripts at once as you'd like.

That was what I wanted and according to FNIS everything is fine - so the issue lies elsewhere - as posted by Jonathan and Vrakos

I tried using LOOT as you asked me to. Again, i am very new and unexperienced when it comes to modding. To me it doesnt seem like any of the relevent mods have any issues. However, i did get some warnings on several mods that: "TES5Edit found [number] ITM records and [number] deleted navmesh. An explanation of Dirty Edits is available here." not sure what that's supposed to mean and it doesnt say that about any of the relevant mods as far as i can see.
