Skyrim side-quest marker not showing up.
Hello! I have Skyrim Legendary Edition, along with some mods, and my side-quest marker doesn't show up, however the main quest marker does.

I have the following mods installed; please tell me if some of them need to be removed for my problem to be solved! FYI, almost all of them consist in graphic improvement.

-Official Skyrim High-Res texture pack
-Beter dynamic snow
-Improved interior lighting
-Lockpicking measurement vision
-Static Mesh Improvement (all of them 1-6)
-Arrows stick
-Bigger and Boulder
-Deeper Snow
-Moss rocks
-Real glaciers v2
-Vibrant auroras
-SkyUI
-Towns and villages (all of them)
-Matso immersive sun
-Ruins clutter improved
-Undead books glow
-Sounds of Skyrim (all of them)
-Realistic lighting
-Immersive saturation boost
-Pure waters
-Water and terrain enhancement
-Bones and skeletons retexture
-Draugr retexture
-No snow under roof

I have also some disabled ones because of framerate issues:

-Vurt flora overhaul (redux)
-Better fast travel (disabled it thinking of solving my issue)
-All the official DLCs (I don't want them to appear on my quest menu)
-Dense vegetation
-Detailed cities
-Detailed outskirts
-HD plants + herbs
-HQ snow texture
-Lush grass + trees
-Waves

Perhaps a silly question, but do you actually select the side quest in question to get a marker ? Simply selecting side quest is not enough (the one in the main list).

I just go to the menu, select my sidequest that I want to do (in this case, join the a rebellion - can't remember the name, and find a redguard woman) and they don't show up... what do you mean by selecting side quest is not enough?

There is the list with the main quests. It has a line that says side or miscellaneous quest (I am not sure). When you select that one, a new menu open up with all the side quests. In this menu you have to select the actual quest you want the marker for.

Looks like you're right... silly me... but it applies only to the Stormcloak Rebellion quest, I guess I have to find the Redguard woman alone... Thanks for your feedback... first time this happens to me :csgogun: :bandit:

Not all quests have a marker. It also happens that a marker is given for a general area and when you are there it is removed and you will have to search around. All kinds of things are possible. Relying on markers is not always 100%

Thank you for your feedback! However, now I'm considering myself dumb :anarky:

The Redguard woman can be found in the Bannered Mare. You won't be given a clue about that one. Basically you are supposed to search through entire Whiterun.

Same same - side quest markers aren't there for all of them. Don't feel dumb - I scratched my head over it for a while too. Just the way it is, I concluded - but not to worry - there is this magnificent resource I use

don't know if you guys still looking for answer or not, but just deselect the miscellaneous side mission, then press e on the other side quest

Why in God's name are you resurrecting a 16 month old thread that has already been solved for a game you don't even own on steam? Not judging, just real curious behind the motive.
