Come back to me when you realise that the Stormcloaks are bleeding their own province dry within the wishes of the foreign enemy that they sought to antagonise in the first place. I'd recommend spending more than 6.4 hours in the game to construct a more informed opinion on the grand scheme of things.
Ulfric is a Thalmor sleeper agent whether he likes it or not.
The Stormcloaks' nationalistic values chafe with non-Nord individuals.
The civil war (especially vexing in tune with the Dragon Crisis) was started by the Stormcloaks alongside premeditation by the Thalmor.
The White-Gold Concordat is NOT a betrayal, it is a sacrifice. It's actually a favour to the northern provincials. Either that or a miracle.

Ulfric believes his own intentions to be good, but he simply cannot be trusted, along with any who would call themselves Stormcloaks. There is too much at stake for Skyrim's future.
The Stormcloaks and Thalmor are enemies, but the Thalmor premeditated the Stormcloak Rebellion to weaken Skyrim and the Empire, both of which are harmful to Skyrim's interests in the long-term. The Thalmor have no business interfering with the war, as Elenwen is quick to remind you of.
The Thalmor are only in Skyrim to play the role of the Spanish Inquisition. The Stormcloaks obviously detest such a scenario and react accordingly. Make no mistake, they are enemies but the Stormcloaks serve Aldmeri interests by costing men and resources of both their own province and that of the Dominion's sworn enemy: the Empire.
Music to the Thalmor's ears.
"Irrelevant."
No, the White-Gold Concordat was a betrayal. Many Talos worshippers fought and died in that war only for the Emperor to sail them down the river when there was no need as the war was in a stalemate. You think the Dominion would've accepted a treaty if they could've achieved complete domination?
No, no and 100% no. The only Aldmeri army that was destroyed was Naarifin's. The entire Imperial Legion was rendered unfit to continue warfare any longer after 4E 175. There is absolutely NO indication that it's a stalemate, with the exception of Hammerfell (who have never been successfully invaded, except by the Akaviri-driven Second Empire.)
No I guess I can't blame them, they are short sighted bigoted morons though. Just like all ultra nationalists wherever they're found. Can't see beyond the end of their own noses.
nah empire would ababadone skyrim if worst came to worst
