Red tint in Skyrim
Hello,

I have a Issue with my Skyrim. Since some days ago I have really strong tint/saturation/contrast change. I don't really know what it is. I tried uninstalling every Mod/ENB. Then I resetet all my Skyrim.ini + SkyrimPrefs.ini

After that I redownloaded the whole game. Nothing changes. This happens only in Skyrim, in Dayz the colors are fine. Or in any other game.

Does anybody know how to fix this Color Issue? It's annoying and doesn't look good. Here is a Screenshot of Whiterun, you can google for comparisons, but I think its clear that this is not of Skyrim looks by default.

I use an
Intel Xeon E3-1220 v3
4GB RAM
Sapphire HD 5770

I have the newest Steam-Version of Skyrim and every DLC + HD Texture Pack (But I had the same problem without the HD Textures)
DirectX is on the latest Version so are my Graphics Drivers.

Any mods at all? If yes which exactly?

None, I have a fresh install.

In your savefile? Mods don't always fully disappear from a file even by unisntalling them.

I'll be damned... You're right. I tried a new Savegame and the color is gone.

Is there any tool that can clean my savegame? Im don't really want to start all over again :/

No backup saves at all? YOu could try two things. There is a script remover on Nexus. Might help, might break the save (just use a copy... :P ) Or you can re-enable all your mods. Find the culprit and try to fix it ingame. Might have been a magic effect that stayed or a lighting effect. With the mod now gone the game can't tell the script to be gone because it doesn't know it exists. No mod to tell the game that it exists and all.

Yeah, I have a lot of Backups but all used mods. Well now I know better. Im trying the script remover right now. Otherwise I can install an ENB and try to recolor my game, weird but my only option as it seems.

Yeah ScriptRemover doesn't do much.

I doubt it's the ENB man. I assume it's a mod that used an (invisible) cloak magic effect (most mods that add something to the player or track if you meet anything use this) or a mod that alters the lighting.

No I mean I can use an ENB to filter my Savegame to make it look more normal. As for the Mod who caused it.. I think it was something like
Realistic Lighting Overhaul
Climates of Tamriel

Those two come in mind
Mormacil Jul 8, 2014 @ 2:47am
Yeah those two could do it I think. Has any of those a MCM unisntall option?

Never saw that How can you do it?
Mormacil Jul 8, 2014 @ 2:53am
Play the game with a save that's never been saved wihtout the mod, so the mod is still active. Check in the is a Mod Configuration Menu entry for it. That does require both SKSE and SkyUI to be installed.

This was definetly done by Climates of Tamriel. It makes the environment darker, not brighter.

My best bet is that you missed a patch for Realistic Lighting Overhaul.

1. What ENB you were using?
2 .Did you use Weather Patch with it?

yeah both of them dont have MCM options :(

I used a ton of ENBs. My favorite one was Sharpshooters and with it on and all other Mods off it kinda looked normal again with the addition of cool ENB effects.

I never used the weather patch with COT though.
