College of Winterhold quest "Good Intentions" problem

I have made it mostly through the quest titled good intentions in the college of winterhold questline, but now I am screwed over in the midden dark. Whenever I activate the augur of dunlain, the game immediately crashes and sends me to my desktop. Is there any way of fixing this? I've already tried messing with commands a little bit, but I can't figure out how to make the objective to talk to the augur of dunlain completed. So whether it's a way to keep my game from crashing when I talk to the augur, or the way to fix it using commands, any help is appreciated.

Just to confirm, is this the command that you used? It should advance the quest to the next stage (Report to Savos Aren).

setstage MG04 50

Edit: Just noticed that the OP was from almost a month ago. Has your issue been solved?

Yeah, I uninstalled my mods as a last resort, and then reinstalled them later. But thanks for the comment- I'll use it for future reference when doing this quest on other playthroughs.

I had a similar issue last night. Ancano would interrupt the discussion with Tolfdir but then just go sit on a bench. All the while saying "i said lets go". Used the setstage MG04 40 command and it worked like a charm. Skips the Psijic cut scene but fixes the bug.
