The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I'm searching for a cooking mod
I'm on nexus and I'm just not seeing one. I wanna bake a patato er something... i'm sure I'm missing something. It's late.... This will be my 3rd real attempt at tryen to finish this game with one set amount of mods. I am almost certain all i need is a mod to let me cook. Maybe i missed something but my first playing of in skyrim i found veggies that was cooked and gave me more health. Deffently found meats but i think i could only cook... wild meat?

Hearthfires adds a lot of recipes. Once you build an oven.

Vanilla cooking http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Cooking

Hearthfires Baking http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Baking
Well i'll be damned. THank you. That is what i was missing.
Here is something interesting. You find baked potatos all over the place in Skyrim including some sitting on cinder pots but not very many ovens anywhere. But in order for you the player to make a baked potato you must use an oven.
I might missed something but in the link i didnt see u could make the baked patato
I am finding this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69306/? to be very good. It totally revamps both cooking and alchemy and makes cooking an actually useful mechanic, with lots of recipes that are useful not just 2 or 3.

If you want something lighter that adds in recipes for vanilla foods, Teeq's Better Loot v1.14 on the workshop (wolves.esp in your load order) is what I've been using until recently. It adds animal based items like crab meat and wolf meat as well as adding cooking recipes for seared slaughterfish, baked potatoes etc. It also adds some new alchemy ingredients like spider eyes. It does not appear to be compatable with CACO however, which makes sense.

USELESS TRIVIA: You can actually bake stuff without ovens. Once made baked taters' with hot stones and tin foil. Centre was bit raw but didn't get food poisoning so that's nice.
