Best starter weapon?

right now my best weapons are sky forge steel sword with banded iron shield, along with steel greatsword and some spells. Where can I find good unique swords and other stuff that are good early on and easy to get

Skyforge steel isn't bad to begin with. It's on par with an Akaviri Katana. Both do Elven sword damage, but weigh less.

As far as guaranteed magic items, there's always a magic helmet (various enchantments) out at Hamvir's Rest, in the left side chamber, behind the bars. You will have to fight 3 skeletons to get it. There's also a draugr there, but if you come in from the left side, you can get the helmet without triggering him. If you do take on the draugr, there's a master chest next to him.

Weapon-wise, I'd say go to Ironbind Barrow (near the Nightgate Inn, where the Pale meets the Winterhold area.) That is a short dungeon with a few draugr and a pretty powerful warlord, but if you take along a follower, you can win it. Just make sure you dispose of all other enemies, so your follower isn't tied up with them, when you need the help. On the back of the warlord's throne is the Steel Battleaxe of Fiery Souls, which combines fire damage and soul trap enchantments into one. Very helpful for filling soul gems to enchant more weapons, and it can be disenchanted and applied to other things.

It doesn't really matter. Smithing potions and enchanted apparel that gives a boost to smithing is more important than a single weapon. Enchanted apparel that boosts alchemy is also a big plus. PLus the smithing perks of course.

The best weapon to get early on is the Mace of Molag Bal. Combine that with the Black Star and you can level up Enchanting very quickly, which will allow you to make useful enchanted armor and weapons.

Bolar's Oathblade is also very good to have early on. Having it helps improve your survivability as hitting people with it at a low level will make them run away.

You can also get an Elven sword and Bow at a low level by going to Solstheim and retrieving them from the dead Redoran Guard outside of town near the farm.

If you are a Thief, you can find an Elven dagger on the ground at Journeyman's Nook near Winterhold.

If your cheating, you might as well just use console commands. Personally, you're better off just going through the Thieves guild quests at level one and finishing said quests at about lvl15 (on one of my playthroughs). If you're playing a stealthy thief however, Chilrend which is a two hander isn't overly stealthy :D.

Thieves guild questlines provide very decent armour (Nightingale) and weopons (Nightingale sword and bow).

Depending on what build your looking for however, just hit whatever guild is close to the build your wanting to achieve which should help you out gear wise.

For a half decent poking stick, check out the skelly arm (Lady of the Lake "Easter Egg") poking out of the pond just outside Whiterun. The skelly arm is usually holding an above average sword. The pond is located NWW from Whiterun near a giant camp.

If you find the quest of the daedric god molag bal you have a gret weapon;)

Early on, I'm a fan of the Ghostblade - a one-handed sword with a weight of 1, and a base damage about on par with steel. Also has an enchant which deals an additional three damage per strike (ignoring armour), which has unlimited charges.

You can get it very early in game. With one perk and ancient nord arrow. You could deal over 30 dmg early. This kills bandits in 1-2 shots.

yeah, bows falls off pretty quick once you found highwaymans. And also when draugr has upgraded to scourges. Unless you sneak.
Skyforge is good, because light and upgradeable.

Get a bow and a 2 handed sword and wear enchanted items that boost them, that's my advice. I have got to level in 41 weeks doing this.
Also find all those people in Skyrim who give you training and make use of that.

And a useful tip if you want pickpocket skills:
The female begger in Windhelm will train your pickpocket skills up at every other level.
