(SOLVED) Mods Reset every time I load a save (amongst other problems)

Long story short; after the last official update to the game (earlier this week), my Skyrim went babshit for Bangkok.

I can't start up Skyrim through neither steam nor through it's own .exe -file.
Additionally, when I actually get into skyrim (using SKSE, through MO), each and every time, the mods will reset when I load a savegame.

I know that the problem doesn't stem from the .ini -files, nor is it neccessarily connected to MO or the load-order. I have also tried re-verifying the cache, halting synchronization to the Steam Cloud, and a host full of other solutions, but to no avail.

What do you mean your mods reset? You load order reverts to an earlier order?

No, you know the initial initialization of mods that occurs when you start a brand new game, that's the type of reset I'm refering to.

Which mods? After exiting the game is there anything in your overwrite folder?

All mods.
Nope, as I said, the issue doesn't stem from MO, it started occurring when the last update was released.

The only notable difference is probably that a lot of SKSE stuff, and the prefs.ini, etc. have migrated back to the "my games > skyrim" -folder. I usually run such files through my MO profiles.

Solved it, has not happened is such a long while, I forgot about the good old 255 mods limit.

So I just have to uninstall some of the mods.
