Bleak Falls Barrow Word Wall Broken *FIXED*
I started a new game today and after running through the helgen quest and getting to riverwood i get the golden claw quest from Lucan. I have done this quest i don't know how many times before, but now when I reach the word wall nothing happens?? There's the usual chanting and gusty wind noise but the rune doesnt glow and I don't learn the word. Obviously this is a massive bummer because this stops the draugr deathwhatever from getting out of his coffin so i can't get the dragonstone and progress with the main quest!! Does anyone know a fix for this?

edit: Thanks for everyone who took the time to comment and give me a hand, it turns out that I needed to reinstall skyrim unbound and enable my player to be dragonborn, this was a bit of a weird fix and a bit of a stupid mistake from me.

I'll give MFG console a try, thanks for the suggestions. And this is starting from a new save.
MFG console is pretty great, but it isn't showing the extra info for the word wall object so i can't see if anythings editing it. Thanks for the useful mod though
USLEEP is the only unofficial patch i've installed so the swap masters script wouldn't do much but thanks anyway
I can't beleive there isn't a fix for this, it seems to be quite a common problem.

You're misinterpreting what it does - the idea is that if there's a mod in your load order which is intended for use with the old patches, then it deals with those. Whether or not you ever used the old patches yourself is besides the point.

You may not have any such mods. If you did, I'd generally expect the game to simply refuse to launch. I consider it worth checking anyway - the link provided explains many details.

You're going to have to narrow down that list, I'm afraid. Start out by disabling everything, and confirming whether it works - if it still fails in an existing save, then restart again and double-check after treking back up into the Barrow.

Assuming you can get it to work that way, enable half the list and repeat your tests. If it works, enable half of what's left, and so on. If you get a failure, then the fault lies somewhere in the selection of mods you just added, so disable half of those, and so on.
as was already suggested: the unfortunate best solution is to disable all your mods and try it, if it works with no mods, then add mods back one by one and keep testing it.

now if you don't want to try that just yet..
backtrack out of the bleak falls barrow and head to another word wall somewhere and see if it works. if it does you can just console command your way past where you are stuck..
the console command would be.. setstage MQ103 180
it will set you to the "bring the dragonstone to ferengar" part of the quest, and i don't think you actually need to have the dragonstone for it to work.

or you could also leave bleak falls barrow for 10-30 in game days (just fast travel between riften and markarth about 30 times, or rest for 24 hours 30 times) then go back to bleak falls barrow to the word wall and make sure you don't sneak up to the wall, there has evidently been some issues with sneaking at that point.
leaving for 30 days should completely reset the whole dungeon, just make sure you still have the claw... that might not reset, but just in case.
