Is this that blinding snow of yours? To be honest, it looks the same to me all the time.
I guess you don't have enough snow around you in real life. In sunny day, the snow reflects so much light it carves your freakin' eyes out
Before when I played the game I could make out some details to the snow, now it's mostly just all white, no detail at all.
The reason why CoT makes it apparent is because it makes daytime lighting (on days with clear skies) more intense.
Thus, the bloom effect is so strong on the white snow that you can't make out features.
There are actually patches to fix this on the Nexus, as it's a known problem with CoT. The bright days only look good in the southern regions of skyrim.
