Skyrim launcher won't open
So, I'm on the steam library, I hit they play button, and the preparing to launch window opens up for a second, it goes away, like normal. So far, this is pretty normal. However, the Skyrim launcher doesn't open. Instead, it brings up the preparing to launch window opens up. This happens in a loop and spams the little notification to my friends.

Now, I do have mods, the WoW weapons mod, Norial mod (both versions, the vanilla inactive), along with alternate start. These are all from the workshop. Previous to the creation of this post, i have tried unsubscribing to two other mods, an item crafting mod, and a mod to see your face while wearing the Nightingale armor.

[edit] I have tried running as admin

If anyone knows what's going on here, please help. All my other games work perfectly fine, so I don't know what's going on.

Try this
Go to the steam install folder > steam > steamapps > common > skyrim. Right click on the skyrimlauncher.exe and tesv.exe and properties and check run as admin, save it and then double click the launcher.

Sadly, I already tried running as admin. Thank you, though. Forgot to say that.

Adding mods before playing can cause this.
Remove them revify your game and set your settings and play.
Once through Helgen intro you may add the mods.
Read the mod descriptions first before doing so.
This looks like a mod maybe missing a master file ESM or ESP.
Also as stated by cfs111 read the pinned topic as well, a lot of work has been covered in that topic for this game.

I figured out the problem. If you see an item named d3d9.dll in your Skyrim folder, change the "d9" to "d11" so that it now reads "d3d11.dll".

Fixed it for me :)
