Is "Deflect Arrows" perk bugged?
Hello!

So on my playthrough I'm aiming to be a slow, unmoveable juggernaut wearing heavy armor and wielding a shield to block all arrows aimed at me. Just today I used one of my perk points to unlock the perk in Block tree called Deflect Arrows in which the description says that your shield blocks all incoming arrows. The problem for me that apparently this perk isn't doing anything for me. I still seem to be taking full damage from arrows when I'm blocking and the arrows are hitting directly on to my shield.

So my question is that is this perk bugged or something else and what I can do to fix this?

I think you meant Deflect Arrows. From UESPWiki:

  • Deflect Arrows sets blocking effectiveness to the maximum value of 85% against all attacks, regardless of your Block skill, Shield Wall ranks, or Fortify Block effects.

    • This bug is fixed by version 1.5 of the Official Skyrim Patch.

  • Occasionally, the Deflect Arrows perk will fail to work. If you put your shield up and block incoming archery attacks, some arrows may still deal damage as though you failed to block at all

I'm currently using the USLEEP unofficial patch.

@Ilja Oh yeah that was probably the right name for the skill. Sorry about that. What a shame if it isn't fixed properly in any patch >.<

USLEEP team will likely fix it, if they ever find a way to do so without messing up the whole game.
