Help with decompressing 7z files to esp files!

The problem arose when downloading Enhanced Character Edit of the Nexus. Usually I download mods from nexus with NMM. It had a successful completion but it didn’t come up in my plugins so I checked the file using the my nexus mod directory (C:\Games\Nexus Mod Manager\Skyrim\Mods) and found that the file was there but it didn’t have bsa and esp files. I think it was because esp/bsa files are add-on mods, some files like dds overwrite skyrim data. However this mod had a 7z file which I believe is a compressed file, so I used software such as WinRAR to extract the file and then put this file into my data folder ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data) But I realised that this is the process taken for downloading the mod manually, it still didn’t work. I have heard that when using 7z files you need OMM (Oblivion mod manager) Which I’m not willing to download if it isn’t a necessity.Maybe I need to overite the exsisting files with this particular mod. Either that or I need a script extender such as SKSE to download the mod.

Can someone Please help me by putting consise steps in which i need to take to download this mod? (If possible please add links to applications needed).

Installation

Common tasks:
1.Install SKSE. http://skse.silverlock.org/
?Don’t forget to install the scripts of “Data folder” of SKSE !


Install with NMM:
1.Download from "Download with manager" button on nexus.
2. Press the "Activates the selected Mod" button.
3.Select if you need options.
4.Overwrite the existing files if you are asked, say "Yes to all".

Do you have SKSE? Also, IMO, Racemenu is better
