Rayya took over my home..
Hi. I had a question. I finished the Falkwreath missions and became thane and was assigned a follower named rayya. I didnt interact with her other than to ask the questions 'what is a huscaral' etc.. i didnt request her to follow me. Now when i go to my home, the 1st built one, (cant recall the name offhand) she is walking arround it, going in and out of the house, yet i never asked her to come.. is this a bug? or does this always happen? there is also dialoge to invite her to stay, i think its her becoming a house steward. but i never requested her to do so. anyway to kick her out? i like using the giants to level skills on but she keeps killing them! lol :(

She or he ( can't remember the gender ) is basically you personal "bodyguard" when you become a Thane althuogh it doesn't happen in every Hold .

If you're a Thane in Falkreath, Rayya automatically shows up at your house there (Lakeview Manor) once the first stage of construction is complete, and from your description, you're somewhere past that part. So don't worry, it's supposed to happen. She won't become your steward unless you ask her, so she's still your housecarl.

Rayya is your reward from the jarl for doing the quest, as well as getting the right to buy land 'Lakeview Manor and that is Rayya's Default home. just like breezehome is Lydia's home. Best to give Rayya as your housecarl and make Lydia Steward of Lakeview Manor.

Rayya will patrol Lakeview Manor like she owns when you desmiss her, she'll head to Lakeview Manor.

Do i have to kill rayya to remove her from lakeview manor ? seriously it's too crowded in my own home with my wife and two kids plus the bard and the steward. that's it i don't want anyone else in here. and here comes this ♥♥♥♥♥ strutting around like they own the place

Move the wife and kids to another house.... you want Rayva and a house steward to kill of bandits who periodically attack the home and your animals.

Your house Carl will always be at your home when you're not using them as a follower.

A little tip: don't make your housecarl your steward. Instead, bring another follower and make them your steward so you can have someone else to defend the house. Preferably not a hireling since you might still have to pay them to follow you or even trade with them.

Also, why are people bumping a thread from 2015?
