Mod conflict solutions
This post is dedicated to solvable conflicts caused by mods. I am collecting solutions that might be hard to find, if you do not know what you are looking for. Thread will be updated, when ever I remember or find out a conflict and solution for it. Contributions are welcome.

  1. Enhanced Lights and FX + Static Mesh Improvement Mod
    • Problem: Combined ELFX and SMIM meshes can cause a severe FPS drop in certain areas, making the area practically unplayable.

    • Solution: Solved by installing following mod from Skyrim Nexus

Unofficial Enhanced Lights and FX ELFX SMIM ENB fps performance patch

  2. PapyrusUtil conflicts
    • Problem: Some mods have integrated parts of PapyrusUtil to them. This is not a problem as such, but different versions of PapyrusUtil overwriting each other can cause problems, varying from mods behaving erratically, game freezes and crashes to desktop.

    • Solution: Problems are usually caused by old version winning conflict against new version integrated to another mod, so allowing PapyrusUtil to win all conflicts will usually solve the problem.
      - NMM users: Install PapyrusUtil last. When updating mods, do not allow them to overwrite it when asked. If this happens, then reinstall the mod. Make sure to update PapyrusUtil, when it gets updated.
      - MO users. Install PapyrusUtil and move it down in MO left panel, until it wins all conflicts with files above it.
