Gifting my Son/Daughter

So I wanted to give a gift to my son, bought a wooden sword so he can play, but when i was about to gift it to him, i dont know why it said something about not being able to carry because of inventory, does anyone know how I can fix that? (not my inventory, his i think, mines has alot of space) "the item is too heavy to carry" thats what it says. Any idea?

Yup, is that one kid who is in Dawnstar, the one who rushes from the Inn to the mining cave, never happened to me before too, maybe I can fix it with some console commands, but still waiting for some opinions or someone who experienced the same.

The child is most likely carrying too many things, certain kids have items from before you adopted them and they respawn endlessly in their inventory. Use the Console Command "show inventory" on your son and see if he has a filled inventory. If he does you can remove them with the console by using "removeitem (id #) (quantity) " or try "resetinventory"

I believe this bug is fixed with the unofficial patch, do you have the patch?

Uhm, I'm afraid I dont have the patch, but still thank you very much for the solution :)

If you just want to fix it with blunt force, open the console, click on the kid and type in removeallitems and it will strip the kid of everyting down to his skivvies. Then just give him some clothes and the sword.
