Vortex MM can't find savefiles anymore?

Hi, I just deleted 3 savefiles and suddenly the entire save section in Vortex is empty and when I start the game there are no saves either.

All the saves still exist in documents>My Gamey>Skyrim>saves but Vortex can't find them anymore.

What can I do?

Try looking in Steam\userdata\"YOURSteamID"\72850\ac\WinMyDocuments\My Games\Skyrim\Saves and if they are there, paste them back into \Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves. Steam fouled up some issues relating to cloud sync back in January and this worked for some people.

This. It happens to me on a daily basis when I play Skyrim.

They are in \Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves but when I open the game they are not there or listed in the vortex save list.

It also only happened with one of my mod profiles. Do you know where the separate mod profiles store their saves?

Unfortunately my experience is with MO2 and community Nexus Mod Manager. The suggestion in post #1 may be worth following up with, or consider reposting in the Skyrim Special Edition forums where it will get a bigger number of views and there are a fair number of skilled Vortex users generally available.

The saves in Steam\userdata\"YOURSteamID"\72850\ac\WinMyDocuments\My Games\Skyrim\Saves are several month old and only from a certain mod profile. How does that work?

But copying them into documents>My Gamey>Skyrim>saves somehow works. They are visible in vortex and in the game.

Anyone find a fix to this? I am in the same situation. All of my save file are in my games folder in documents but its showing my house mates savefiles. His steam is connection to my pc but I have never launched skyrim from steam post modding still cant get it to find my saves again
