What is the download size of Skyrim.
Hi there, I'm thinking of getting Skyrim. But my internet sucks so if the download is more than 5gb then I'll not get it. Note that this isn't the hard drive requirement but the download size when you download the game. Thanks

Buy it retail then. You could order it from amazon or go to walmart.

Ah, yes, a fellow person with sucky Internet. I feel for you. I had to download this game three times, each taking 2+ days of pretty much non-stop downloading.
Vanilla Skyrim, or Skyrim without mods or DLC of any kind, is 5752 MB. That is, basically, about 5.6 GB.
You really should reconsider not getting it just for the size. I knew, going in, it was going to be absolutely huge, and with my 100 kb/s download speed... Well, let's just say I was crazy to have downloaded it more than once using Internet.
However, the game is definitely worth it's weight in gold. It's won so many awards, and they weren't just thrown at this game because it was made by Bethesda. No, it earned those awards, fair and square. With potentially 500+ hours of stuff to do, this will keep you entertained for a while. At least until the next Elder Scrolls game comes out, I'd wager.

When I downloaded skyrim it took me 4 and a half days to download. Good thing I had a 360 to play in the mean time. Had I waited for a few days it would have taken 4 hours or so.

I had a similar issue, but it's not because download speed (I have no life so I can wait), it's about space left on PC. I needed to make sure I had enough space. While it does take up a few solid gigabytes, it seems like it's not really much more than 5. I mean, don't plan on downloading mods right away unless you want to make the download 110% longer, but it really isn't TOO too big.

Download size is not installed size. Just because you have enough room to download it, doesnt mean you have room to install it, or play it, or save a game.
