constant blurred effect that i can't get rid of. *fixed*
i have a constant blurred effect on my character which i can't get rid of. it is similar to the blur you get when you get affected by the sun as a vampire. there are no spells or other effects on my character, like sickness or anything. i loaded other charaters and a previous save and they're fine. it may have been after contracting brain rot (which has been treated) and it is a bug from that. any ideas?

It looks like your radial blur has gone mad. Try using this mod:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17499/

This might also work, if you're willing to use console commands:

"spell 'vampire's sight' not added"

I realize that this is a very old tread, but I came across a quick fix that does work.. For those that thes fixes don't work for. Now I will say that sometimes loading up a save that the effect may come back as it has happened to me, but this fix is an easy one to remember.
Just open console the tilde button and type sisme 0 then enter problem solved

I can't believe I didn't try this already! (Just kidding. I think I would have needed a million monkeys typing random console commands to figure this one.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, this `sisme 0` command disables all so-called "image space modifiers". That includes not just the blur you're talking about, but also other beneficial ones, such as night vision.

I ended up resolving a similar issue: I tasted an ingredient, and when it damaged me, it caused my screen to flash, and the flash left a blurry fisheye effect that wouldn't go away. The solution was to eat another similar ingredient, causing the flash again, and that cleared away the effect.
