How do make a paladin?
What race is lore friendly to a paladin build?

Should i become a vampire so my necromage perk turns into steroids?

What weapons should i use?

I will be using mods to help me too.

Dont become a vampire, kinda ruins the point of being a paladin.
Races: Imperial, Redguard, Nord, Any race included in the vigilants of stendar.
Weapons: 1 Handed Swords, Sheilds, Restoration.
Join the Dawnguard if you have that DLC, and try to get Dawnbreaker as fast as possible. I'd also recomend a mod that allows you to enchant weapons with sun damage (Also do some minor enchanting).
Explore caves (Or use the wiki to specifically find these) till you find a Vampire layer or a Daedric Cult. Aside from the "Good" Daedra (Meridia and Azura), avoid Daedric Artifacts.

A vampire Paladin? Do I even need to comment on that?
Using the immersive weapons and armor mods you will have alot more paladfin style items. and any race can take up the role of Paladin
Though, if you want to create somekind of moral conflict, you could "Accidentally" become infected by a random vampire and be, for some reason or another, unable to cure it.

acceptable paladin template would include
high elves humans empire breton nordics
heavy armor 1hand + shield with restoration spells( limited resoration since youre not a pure healer
be nice to everyone apply the laws track down criminals fight everything that breaks the law of skyrim or the holy life style you plan on living. dont kill innocent , dont break the law dont hurt your followers dont get married until youre 57 years old

buy a horse + all the previous mentioned
Depends. Are you using traditional D&D paladins or 3.5 and beyond? Since I dislike flexible paladin morality I will go with traditional Second Edition rules.

Heavy armor
2-handed blunt weapon, ie warhammers, or 1-handed w/shield (mace or sword, no axes)
Restoration

Alignment: Restricted to lawful good
May not complete daedric quests
May not wield daedric weapons or artifacts
May not join or become a vampire
May not join the following guilds: Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Companions, College of Winterhold
May not marry
May not enchant items
May not steal
May not lie

Daedra are a no-no for an Aedra-revering paladin. Any daedra. I know that is less than sexy for some TES types, but the paladin is one of the most restrictive class archetypes. There is no wiggle room here.

^ Don't forget the Dunmer worship Deadra though, one of which is notorious for hating the undead. Something a Dark Elf Paladin could surely get behind.

ot: Bretons, High Elves, and Dark Elves are predisposed to magic, so they'd probably have more heroes that would classify as a Paladin than others.

Dark Elves have a canon Paladin-esque faction in the Bouyant-Armigers, and they in general *hate* Necromancers and the non-sanctified undead, so they're pretty fitting for the archetype.

One-Handed Maces or other Blunt weapons and Shields are what I think of for Paladins. Restoration Magic obviously. but lighter on the direct healing (Nothing stronger than Fast Healing) and heavier on the anti-undead (handy to have dawnguard in this case). and "Circle of" spells.

Which is why not all races have paladins. In 1st and 2nd Edition rules paladin is only available to human characters. I would argue the same here.

Also, and this is optional, get a mod that lets you craft divine amulets. Keep some Amulets of Arkay and Stendar in your inventory, and put the Amulets of Arkay on Resurrected corpses (Drauger, Skeletons, the like) and the Amulets of Stendar on any innocents that die (As a blessing from stendar, so that they may find the peace in the next life.

Up to now the paladin is based upon a game character type. If you are building them based upon RL paladins, the options become narrower. More like a knight of the round table.

Ah yes, I neglected to mention the amulets. Yes, the paladin should always be wearing an amulet of his or her patron deity. Conversely, I do not allow a vampire character to even handle an amulet of the divines, or to loot a corpse that has one on it.
