I did not know that, thanks. I'll have to see if I can find it in the creation kit. I was forcing stuff all the time with console commands before findings mods and the forum here after pulling my hair out trying to correct my wrongs of installing them.
With AFT she is such a powerful mage, when equipped well. I still chuckle when she says "I'l kill you" in that soft voice and then pretty much one shots a bandit chief that was making the kids cry. lol
I know any follower can be made to be to powerful with mods but it's still funny watching Betty Crocker, clean up the neighbor trash while Dovahkiin sits poolside.
There is one
I'll tell you who NOT to marry. Camilla. Worst wife ever!
I actually wanted to make my own thread just to say what a terrible wife she is!
Love in Skyrim
Well after being saved from a beheading and a dragon attack, I of course fell head over heels for Rolaf. I knew early on that I just wanted a quiet life in Skyrim: a nice plot of land with some fields (Frostbrook mod... Wonderful!!) and a chance to perfect my alchemy skills; like we are talking Lvl 30 and pulling out a serios dragon killing poison to Slow the target, make it 33% weaker to poison and deal 80 points of concentrated poison damage! Ouch! I just wanted a quiet little life with a family. I knew it wasn't like Rolaf had taken an arrow to the knee or anything ... but hoped maybe one day he'd want to settle down with me.
No such luck. I dressed up in my best outfit, put on my Amulet of Mara, and was promptly friend zoned by Rolaf. He refused to even acknowledge the necklace and talked only of the war. I was heart broken.

Just after, I walked over to the Riverwood Trader where I was good friends with Camilla and Lucian, still wearing the Amulet of Mara: which isn't something I would normally do, since I generally slip on my fancy Diamond Necklace of Barter before entering any shop.
Well... even though my best friend (follower) Faendal loves her, and I told her this, Camilla still proposed to me right in front of the poor guy. But I think to myself, "Hey, Camilla has always wanted to own her own merchant shop: the freedom to sell bigger and fancier things, to see a little more of what Skyrim has to offer." I think, "Yeah, I can give her a good life", and prepare to love her, hoping that Faendal will forgive me when he sees that two people he loves really care about each other. Clearly she just loved women and he never would be right for her.
I was nervous about the wedding, knowing I didn't love Camilla with my whole heart, the way I thought she did me, knowing I was still bent up about Rolaf. I spent the night up late by myself wandering around Riften, unsure of what to do.

I sucked it up, thinking maybe this was my destiny. Not for love, but to serve the people of Skyrim, as the Dragonborn I am. I am mostly away anyway, but at least I can give Camilla my loyalty and friendship, my home and protection. I went inside, to the worst attendance ever. My child and best friend, Faendal. Camilla's brother, Lucian. And one old drunk. Clearly this wedding didn't ring of true love and bliss. The whole ceremony Camilla had her arms crossed and was scowling, and her and Faendal kept looking at eachother from across the room.

It gets to the part where Maramal asks me if, "I do." And I freeze up. Just a moment! I mean it's a big question. A big decision! And Camilla won't stand for that! She walks right out of the damn wedding! (seriously, walked right out, gone, bugged out. had to reload a save and try again)
(Now in the process of looking up about this bug I find out that Camilla is FULL of weird bugs. Things like that if you show up at your house at 2am Faendal may be leaving, or you may wake up in the middle of the night to find him hanging out looking at you. Or sometimes during the wedding his body shows up, dead, and everyone blames the Dragonborn. Clearly weird ♥♥♥♥.) After the wedding Camilla tells me it was all a rouse. Her and Faendal are really in love. No matter who she married she would always find a way to be with him. I figured maybe Lucian is just really strict because of how the Aldemeri Dominion ruined their life back in Cyrodil. Perhaps he's really racist against all elves.
I'm hurt more than I want to admit, but feel that perhaps this is truly destiny. I give Faendal the Bonds of Matrimony and the Charter to Lakeview Manor out near their home of Riverwood and ask them to watch after Lucia for me; I'm always away any way. (Actually had to use console commands here to dismiss Lydia as my steward so that I could make Faendal my steward, after giving him the ring and the charter to the house, of course.)
Things seemed fine when I first went to visit. Faendal asked me if I was lost when I first walked in, and later when running through the house to the basement in a hurry he yelled at me to, "Watch what I'm doing!" So I figured that he must be making himself at home, and really enjoying life with his new family. The kids thanked me for giving them a, "Real family," and I know they couldn't mean me, since I'm never home. I thought, "Things are going great!"

But then I was passing through Riverwood a week or so later, and find Camilla back at the Riverwood Trader. I ask about the kids and she even makes me something to eat before telling me she'll head back home to them. I figured maybe Lucian just needed her for the day, no big deal. But when I head by the house a few days later she's not around, and Lucian hadn't seen her either. I ended up finding her wandering around the Temple of Mara in Riften with severe amnesia. She couldn't remember the last month and was asking me where we should move to again. I mentioned about the house in Falkreath, but I'm worried about her memory and think I better walk her safely home. However she was quick to slip away from me and disappeared completely leaving the city by some method I don't know about.
Again I couldn't find her for days, but when I do get word of her she is back in Riverwood. I try telling her to head home, that the children are worried about her, but it seems she can't bring herself to go back and care for them. It seems she agreed to raising Lucia, but when I sent Blaise back home to them it was too much for Camilla and she went through a nervous break down and couldn't bring herself to care for them out in the woods by herself any longer.
She started heading to the bar at night; every night I would find her at the inn drinking, and despite asking her over and over to return home she would just continue drinking until she was so drunk she had to pass out at her brother's place again. I finally was so angry at her that I showed up to the inn one night in my Tavern Clothes and broke up with her, right there in front of everyone. (Used console commands) She was so drunk she didn't even recognize me, and continued to hit on me like I was a stranger. Just when I was sure she was never going to tell me what happened or acknowledge that we had even been married at all (on the Wiki I had read that if you get divorced with console commands - the ones I used - that the ex will say the thought of the Dragonborn makes their blood boil, however Camilla acted like she had never met the Dragonborn before, even being slightly flirty), she looked right at me and said, "I just want to find a nice man and have kids of my own." Then she turned to stare directly at Sven who was playing his lute away, as he had every other night she'd been at the inn drinking. So Camilla actually left both me, and Faendal (who she generally cheats on the Dragonborn to be with in a weird buggy way), to have an affair with Sven! The harlot! The hussy.
So I tore out of the inn, angry as hell and heart broken. I bought myself a dog and showed up to Lakeview Manor to tell the kids we were moving to the Frostbrook Farm. To my surprise, Faendal, who I have always loved because he was genuinely kind and positive, is in a sour mood and asks me if I'm here for trouble (similar to if you are walking into a stranger's house) and starts yelling and saying, "Stupid Dog!" I could tell he was in a bad mood and knew some of what was going on. He at least seemed to be in a fight with Camilla himself. I was too angry to care and took the kids and left.
Well, when I showed up at Frostbrook who greets me at the door... but Camilla! She has stopped saying affectionate things to me, although does give me the very odd flirty line reminding me of the days before the wedding. She still has her own shop but refuses to share a profit with me and no longer makes me any meals, despite the fact that she's always cooking! She sleeps in my bed but refuses to share a Lover's Comfort with me.
It's terrible.
My main rule for spouses, is no housecarl spouse. Housecarl guards my house, and accompanies me on quests. Thats it.

When i first began on this character i didn't get a home until i spared enough money to buy the home in solitude. On this character i decided to live in solitude because i didn't like where i built the home last time in the wilderness. I got to many attacks and different other stuff.
While I spared money i decided to live in the college since i liked it there. Stored some stuff there and put some dwarven stuff as decor around in my room. Later on i finally got the gold i needed for the great home in Solitude which i dreamed about.

When i bought the big house in solitude it felt empty. Something was missing and then i started looking for a mate to share it with. Then i met Ysolda in Whiterun. She seemed nice and shared my sight on the Khajiits. My friend J'zargo was also a khajiit so she seemed to like us. Later on I ended marrying her to get her as spouse. She moved into solitude with me and opened a local store (as usual) giving me regulary income. Of course my enchanted weapons earns us allot too.

The home was stil missing something. We started discussing kids. She wanted to adopt 1-2 kids we could care for. I knew there where a big amount of kids on the streets somewhere. I took my trip to whiterun to sell some of my enchanted weapons one day to meet Lucia. She got throwed out on the street when her parents died and her uncle and aunt didn't want her at the farm. She was begging for gold. I gave her a septim and i asked her to move in my home. She happily accepted and went to solitude with me when i left the trader.
Later on i went on another trip towards Windhelm. I stil had some buisness with the local trader to do when a hooded girl named Sofie came towards me selling some flowers. I bought all of them for my alchemy and asked her where her parents lived. She told she didn't have any parents or anywhere to live. So then i asked her to move in with me. When i came home that day Lucia got really happy. The other kids didn't like her well but Lucia and Sofie turned into some good friends that could keep eachother with company. They usually played all day together around safely in solitude.

Now my family is perfect? Maybe. Well my wife finally had some family to be with while i where on my trips where i usually had gifts with me home from the jurneys across Skyrim.
We got a large home. A big wealth along with a nice little happy family. This snow fox joined it later on when my girls went on a short trip outside the city walls.
