How do I check if an ENB is working as intended?

Hello guys, I know that probably this is a strange question for many of you but since I never used them I'm not familiar with the effects they should give while installed. Let me explain it better, I do feel that the ENBs i'm installing don't look as they should. Sometimes it's easy to tell because they do miss the DOF( the only ENB effect i can recognize) but other times they do look completely different from video showcases and screenshots. Is there a way to check if they are working correctly? Thanks in advance for help

That ENB preset has not been updated since 2014. It requires older version of ENB binary pack than the one currently available.

I would recommend uninstalling the ENB entirely. Then Install ENB binary pack ONLY from enbdev. Open GUI in game and see if changes there will now take effect.

That will tell us, if the problem is with the ENB preset, or if your settings are just somehow preventing you from using ENB features otherwise.

okay it's v0.305 the lst one if I remember well, time to test

The menu works as intended and i have the ENB text too when I start the game. In the ENb menu the DOF is set as true

my last idea make sure in eblocal that "UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false".

edit yeah, you need the right binaries of course. if your setup is for v119 for example it most likely won`t run with v305

That does explain why they don't work. I always used a recent binary so that could be the problem? Some ENBs that suggets that binary in fact do work as intended. How do I get the old binary they ask in these preets then? i checked the enbdev sites but a lot of old binaries are gone

i think boris left the "most important" ones online. if you have a preset for 279 it MAY run with 292 for example.

i can recommend 262 from my own experience, played over 1 year with that binary, many "well known" presets still support on it, like truevision or SoS. 292 should also have quite various support. but there are some cool presets for 305 already if you check the nexus, i recently upgraded to that binary myself ^^

I do still need to test these binaries a bit. Some hours ago I tryed the Rudy ENB too which used the same binary I have and it worked ok I think. Disabling ambient occlusion made the screen black but i hadn't much time left so I haven't investigated more. K enb northern light and suthern light are not working with 0,279 and so is the poupori ENB. The whole think is a bit confusing

yeah testing around with enb binaries (and various presets) gets fun once you get a feel for it. i run rudy enb in F:NV btw ^^
