Searching for mods to increase Destruction Spell damage on Nexus
Hi, I am looking for a reliable mod or list of mods on the Skyrim Nexus that inrease the Destruction spell damage in one way or another because, right now, the spells are far too weak on higher difficulties, and it kills the game for me. Whether or not it requires additional Magicka does not matter to me because I have no issues with Magicka at all on my Altmer.

Please note that if a particular mod adds an enchantment to armour that can increase Destruction spell damage, I will not use it because I hate the Enchanting skill with a passion, with no exceptions.

Path of Sorcery. It's a fairly new magic school overhaul mod that modifies all trees with new, fun perks and plenty of spell scaling, extra effects etc. One of the perks for each tree is a duration/strength increase and cost reduction b ased on level of skills. 75% magnitude, and 70% cost reduction iirc at level 100 destruction.

There's also a patch to have the above work with the Elemental Destruction Magic mod.

I agree with Dresden. Path of Sorcery is the best mod for you.

Looked at the mod, Dresden, I don't like it. Not what I wanted.

It's also fully compatible with Ordinator if you load path of sorcery after (will use ordinator perks for the rest of the skills, but path of sorcery for magic).

Also try Invested magic, or just look at the most endorsed or downloaded mods under the Magic - Gameplay section of nexus.

You don't seem to understand, Dresden. I only, and I mean only want increased Destruction spell damage, with absolutely no strings attached. Increased Magicka cost? Fine, whatever! I'll just use the Staff of Magnus to absorb it back from my enemy. No enchantments, no perk changes, no additional spells, no spell mechanic changes, no damage scaling, just increased damage, and nothing else of any kind in any way, shape, or form whatsoever. Do I make myself clear now?

Wellm what you're after comes in two forms from mods I've seen. Damage scaling based on destruction skill level, or mods that add fortify spell magnitude (destruction strength in this case) enchantments. Neither of which you want. So you can either say thank you, make a small sacrifice and pick one of them, or be needy and cranky, and go without.

Or you can learn to play the vanilla system.

This might have the fine detail tweaking that you are looking for.

Let me re-phrase what I said, Dresden. Like, I have been searching for a decent Mage mod for Talos knows how long, so I was in a very, very, very bad mood typing that out. The two things I could certainly go without are a Fortify Destruction enchantment addition and perk changes. I find the latter in particular an absolute nightmare to cope with, especially when you have to start grinding those skills you hate just so you can get levels and perk points.

As for damage scaling and re-balanced Magicka costs, I really wouldn't have much of an issue with at all. One particular mod that I felt was going to be the best that I could find is called Balanced Magic. It doesn't boast any of that perk-changing nonsense, doesn't add any new enchantment, nor does it add any new spells. All it does is re-configure the damage balancing for Destruction as well as other balancing changes to the other schools which I approve of to essentially make the use of magic viable at higher levels. I'll keep searching but I definitely have my eye on Balanced Magic.

This. Or you can make your own mod however you see fit.

player.forceav destructionpowermod xx -- play around xx until you find a level of power you want. 0 is default.

this adds some new enchants, namely spell power enchants. you craft enchanted items at a forge (they can be quite expensive) and then disenchant them. I don't think you need any blacksmith perks to unlock the spell power enchants. However, there is no restoration enchant as it could break the game with the resto/enchant buff bug.

There's also a few combat enchants that are pretty cool and specific to armor types (reflect 10% damage on heavy armor body, dual wield / bow speed on light armor hands)

there's also equippable tomes : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76949/?

adds a sage crafting table in dragonsreach where you can craft tomes worn on your belt that ncrease spell power. as your power in each school increases more powerful recipes are unlocked ( 0 = 10%, 25 = 20%, 50 = 30%, 75 = 40%, 100 = 50%)

You can use the console command "player.setav destructionpowermod 2" without the " to double the damage of destruction. If you put the number at the end to 3, it triples it. It basically multiplies destruction damage by the number at the end.

Don't necro an old post of mine. I already found a solution - the only person who came close to linking me what I was looking for was Emrys. Everyone else linked mods that went against my specifications in the OP.

Don't reply.
