Elisif wont make me a thane

To be exact, the dialogue option to start helping people will not commence, so in my journal I dont even have "assist people of Solitude (0/5)"

- killed Potema twice
- placed her hunsband's horn at the shrine of Talos
- Bought the manor in Solitude and upgraded it
- helped a bunch of people in Solitude (though its not getting recorded) and definitelt more than five
- Finished Tending the Flames quest
- setstage favor252 # will NOT work (nor startquest)
- changed Elisif's disposition to max

Im out of things to do. Reloading an older save is not an option because that was so long ago.

I have USLEEP installed and have a mod that changes Elisif's face, done by the same guy that made Bijin series.

That's pretty odd. To my memory you can only purchase the manor after helping the people, and UESP seems to reckon the same:

I'm sorta suspecting you are Thane, and in this case USLEEP somehow failed to fix the bug where the guards don't recognise you as such. Or maybe it didn't; have you tried punching a guard?

More to the point, is Jordis the Sword-Maiden hanging around Proudspire?

I reseted Elisif's Tribute quest and finished it again to see if that does anything, but nothing. Elisif just tells me I can buy the manor and that's it. Nothing about helping people.

Thane quest is indeed not active because "getstage favor252" gets me 0. And that dialogue option is exactly what I am missing and I cannot force-start it even through console commands.

Armorous Adventures?
If yes, check the mod's FAQ regarding this.

Also, mods that change the appearance of NPCs may screw up quests. CHeck the mod's description/posts to see if others have an issue.

I don't use Amorous Adventures, and I checked my mod's FAQ (Toccata as Elisif), still nothing.

Disabled the mod, got out of te palace and went back in, still nothing.

One thing tho, UESP says the disposition for this quest is 3, not sure it makes Elisif into 3 or it is required to have it 3, but my disposition with her is currently 2, not sure if that is the problem (not that it matters because I did change it to 3 and see if it works and it didn't)

When you disabling mods and recheck Elisif, your using saves that put you back prior to her giving you quest completions etc...?

I wouldn't use saves that already have the bugged dialogue in it.

In that case, start a new game and advlevel / tmm 1 / tgm your way over to her.

is there a way to NOT waste hours I have put into this? Like a console command or whatever.

All that comes to mind is setstage, though you said you tried that and it didn't work.

So I recommend you test things out with a new game, just to determine whether you're spinning your wheels with the old.

I like this mod for having a rotation of save files (I set it to 15); and I make manual saves every couple hours. That way you can always go back

I use a similar mod, more like CASM in NV, so I have a LOT of saves. Except that a save that is before meetig Elisif is so long ago that it's been overwritten long time ago.

Ehhhh whatever. I just spawned Jordis and made Elisif's disposition to 3. I just wanted Jordis anyway.

Any quest-specific advantages/unique dialogues for being a thane later? I'm still very much early in the main quest, just met Delphine.

Besides your housecarl, the only "benefits" are a one-time ability to get guards to discard a fine, and a randomly generated enchanted weapon, named after the hold.
