Courier wont spawn

So my games courier will not appear anymore. This has affected quest progression as I stand around for days waiting for a letter to arrive that never does. It affects not only my base game(dragonborn dlc, long ago beat the main story) but also mod quests such as interesting npcs. The only mods I have that should be affecting that actor are varied courier and provincial courier service. Anybody have any ideas on how to spawn him/fix??

Thank you so much bloke! it worked!!! I thought the courier wouldnt have a set id since they appear out of the blue, thought they worked like guards or even less important characters? Turns out I spawned his dead body, i then command resurrected him and i got a bunch of overdue letters. No idea why that happened though. Arent couriers expendable and replaced whenever killed by another?

UESP reckons he should be set to essential, making him unkillable, so I wouldn't expect fresh copies to spawn. I'm guessing mod interference.

There are random couriers you can find sometimes who can be killed normally, but they're really just there for you to kill and / or rob, and they don't deliver your regular mail to you (instead, you get to read someone else's).

Oh hes set to essential? youre right it must be a mod conflict. varied couriers, or provincial since it gives him a home, probabaly messes with essential status

My courier delivers everything except "letter from a friend". Doesn't matter if it's a new game or not. Curious if anyone else has this problem. I've researched it but found no solutions.

I was missing like 8 letters and the courier was gone, thanks to you I can continue my quests
