Glitch During Boethiah's Calling

I'm having an issue with completing this quest. I'm doing the quest normally, killing everyone in the camp stealthily (even though you don't really need to). I killed the champion without him detecting me, equipped the mail and......nothing happens. The quest doesn't show as completed (still showing that I need to kill the champion).

Any tips or advice as to how to fix this?

You might have to activate its power by sneaking with it on.

Usually if you have a bug the best alternative is to reload a previous save. So always have a save from before you start any major quest Even name your saves by using the console and typing Save BoethiahQuestStart.

You need to kill all the bandits in the area, both in and outside the mine, before the mail with change. If you've already equipped the mail before doing that, then you'll need to unequip and re--equip it.
