Running any mods?

All overlays, or just face overlays?

NiOverride has a problem with face overlays causing a CTD during decapitation. Thus all face overlays are currently disabled, for now.

In that case, have you sorted your load order with LOOT?

i am using mod loader i have sorted like how would you set up racemenus overlay for your self? I could try comparing and finding my error that way

Mod loader? Do you mean a mod manager like Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) or Mod Organizer (MO). I am personally using MO.

Or, did you mean the main launcher Data Files view?

However, none of them sorts the load order for you. It is quite possible that there is another mod interfering with RM and your overlays, if you have "ton of mods" as you said.

Try to sort the load order with LOOT. Link and basic instructions can be found from here:

I have absolutely no idea what "mod loader" would be. There is no such tool that I know of, or could find by searching trough Google.

Load order is important, because it determines what files will take final effects in the game. This is why it is important to sort it out with LOOT.

If you suspect that there is indeed something wrong in files in your SKSE folder, then ...SKSE > Plugins > nioverride.ini should be the first file to check. That would be the one controlling basic appearance of overlays.
