'Join the Companions' achievement staying locked

I just did the blood ritual to become a werewolf, but the 'join the companions' achievement is still saying it's locked. I don't know how to fix it. Any help would be great!

Best bet would be to reload back to a point before you joined the Companions (that happens well before you become a werewolf, I believe), then join 'em again. If the achievement fails to pop when it should, odds are it won't if you just keep playing past that point, either.

You could alternatively start a new character if you don't have such a save (play long enough to get the achievement, then switch back to your old one).
