Alduin Time Bomb Mod Idea
Now, I'm not a modder, and don't really have the time to learn how to make them, so I'll throw my idea out to the community, see if anyone can make something decent with it. So I've noticed that, like in the other Bethesda games, Skyrim is detailed enough to give you a time, from the current minute all the way up to way year and era. Obviously, the dev's never implemented a timed failure mechanic into the game, but, with such exact details available, I figured you could make a mod that adds a bit more challenge (and stress) to the gameplay. Rather than being allowed to just goof off and take your time saving the world, give the player a timeline they have to work within, sort of like Majora's Mask worked. I haven't worked out the math recently, bnut I'm thinking a years time from start to Alduins completion of his task would work, both play wise and lore wise. But, I'll leave that up to someone who can work out averages of play time better than me. Another mechanic you could add on the side is an option to put a timer on side and main quests. From my exploration of the console commands, it should be relatively easy, there being a written in command to either complete or fail a quest. If someone actually is interested in making this mod, and would like to add some lore flavour to it, I'm always available for that end of work.
