Marriage ceremony never starts
I think I've tried everything. I proposed to Ysolda and then went and did other things in the game for a while before I tried to actually marry her. I don't have a save from before i proposed. I do, however, have a save from before asking maramal if I could have a marriage ceremony. When I do this, the objective becomes to "Attend your wedding ceremony". I wait until the next day, no ceremony ever starts. I've tried waiting until the day after the ceremony should be held, nothing happens then either. It never even says that I've failed the objective. I've tried waiting inside the building, waiting by the stables, waiting in whiterun, I've tried proposing to Aela instead and having a ceremony with her, same problems occur. I've tried turning off all my mods and dlcs. I've even stood in the church and waiting for two days, only waiting for 1 hour intervals at a time, to see if the ceremony starts at some odd time. Nothing. The only way I've been able to finish the objective and become "married" (I unlocked the achievement) was by typing "setstage RelationshipMarriageWedding 100" into the console, but then Ysolda acts like we're just acquantices. So it makes me married, but I don't have a wife. I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any ideas?

Try this, not sure if it will work as it is for remarrying. But, maybe resetting the quest will fix it. If you have a save that you have never asked someone to marry you try it first.
Steps to re-marry using console commands: Select spouse.
Enter the following console commands: removefac 51596
player.removefac C6472
resetquest 74793
resetquest 21382
setstage 74793 10

Wait for 24 hours.
Then proceed to marry as normal.

Sometimes the steps listed above won't work, but you can also try the following: Open the command console.
Type resetquest RelationshipMarriage.
Drop the Amulet of Mara from your inventory.
Go to Riften and talk to Maramal. He will start the quest from scratch.
It's possible that this doesn't work the first time you try it, and you may have to reload the game.
Also, make sure you don't talk to Maramal before you dropped the Amulet of Mara.

Worst case scenario, just murder everyone in Riften and see if that helps.

Guards respawn constantly, so there will be witnesses.

No big deal, though, because leading them into the thieves' guild will kill every one that follows you.

Sometimes it happens that you are left standing at the altar, for hours in the pouring rain. It is merely a sad fact of unrequited love. I'm sure you will find someone special in the future.

So doing that makes everything restart and I have to buy an amulet of mara again. I do that and then set off to propose to Ysolda again, but she doesn't have the "interested in me, are you?" option. Njada does have that option though. I want to marry Ysolda though. I don't know if marriage will work with someone else yet, worst case scenario, I guess I'll have to see if it will. For now, does anyone know how to get the option to propose to Ysolda back?

lmao, I can now get random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ npc's to want to marry me, but Ysolda still doesn't have the "interested in me, are you?" option, even though she still says "it's a fine day when you're around" I'm about to give up. I have quite a few more options now anyway, so it's not too low of a blow. If anyone can think of a way to get Ysolda to work though, I'd like the tip

Bring up console again, right click on her, disable - enter, she should disappear, enable-enter. That should fix her. Always do a clean save before using console commands.

It's not working. I put disable in the console and she does disappear. Enable doesn't seem to do anything. I try to do the commands so I can propose to her and she still doesn't work

Do you have any mods? Try validating your files following this guide.

I followed the guide. She still doesn't work. She has seemed to stop saying things like "It's a fine day when you're around", so our relationship has changed, but I can't get the option to propose. I have all the dlc's and a few mods. It's just convenient horses and a few other random mods

Ok enable worked because you see her again. Console commands can really mess things up, that's why it's always good to make a save before messing with them.
It seems the quest have reset(going to her folks), but since they were completed she does not have the option again. Try
(SetStage FreeformShorsStone02 30)
This is the end of the quest when you bring back the letters from her folks.
If that doesn't work then try
(Prid 000C3a46) enter
(SetStage RelationshipMarriageWedding 100)enter
If none of those work, you might be stuck.

Sylvan Druid Mar 25, 2016 @ 8:50pm
none of those worked. Ysolda isn't having it. I decided to screw it and use console commands to propose to the stable guy in whiterun. The wedding ceremony worked perfectly, so thank you for the help with that :) One last question though, I can't seem to find my new husband. He's not at the stables in whiterun, and hes not at my house. I don't think I own any other properties, so I don't know where else he would have gone. Do npc's you use console commands on to marry behave like normal spouses, or should I just marry someone who would normally be eligible

What was his name? Have you checked his house?
