Least Favorite/Worst Followers

We all have our favorite followers, ranging from a number of characters, and a near inexaustable series of events they can accompany you on, from mercs, housecarls and stewards, faction faithfuls, and people who are grateful for your help in their personal matters, that they join you as rewards for completing quest chains: heck, you can even bring along dogs, horses and trolls who can conceivably fight alongside you.

But what about those people you just can't stand? Those individuals who you can't fathom helping, or if you do, you just can't help but give them the old ebon blade treatment later on. Name a few of the followers in skyrim you don't like, and why?

For me.. It would be..

Argis the Bulwark : While I have nothing personal against this guy, I cant help but think he is one of the foresworn in disguise, like some of the other assassins who cover as servants for the Silverbloods. Maybe it's just me, but I just don't trust him with my house.

Ralis Sedarys : I always struggle with either killing this guy on the spot, or figuring to lead him into an adventure which results with him dying a horrible violently premeditated death. I feel bad, partially, that he was mind controlled into killing everyone who worked for him, and led a dozen other people to their death while possessed by a dark spirit of sorts- but he was fanatically driven and seduced by dark powers to begin with in his endevors to unearth some lost power. Still, it doesn't excuse him for being weak of spirit and mind.

Durak : For reasons lost to me, I just don't like Durak. I get the impression he is kinda fake, or trying too hard with his role as a member of the dawnguard. It also could be something to do with the whole "secret orc stronghold buddies club". I dunno... I generally just avoid him..

Athis : I'm actually cool with most of the companions, with the exception of this guy, Athis. Maybe it's the attitude, or the fact he can't even get along well with his other companion members. Beligerent as he is, that sort of attitude comes off to me as the sort of guy who would just be a liability when it comes down to taking orders in the field.

Off the top of my head, these are some of the followers I don't like.

That Spellsword in Riften in the Bee and the Barb Tavern... SO ANNOYING! Everytime I use him to summon Boethia

I'm playing with Marcurio now, from the Bee and Barb. He's definitely a mage, but it is annoying that he keeps equiping melee weapons and heavy armour head pieces. It's also annoying I can't make a new Robe for him since my enchanting is way better than the ones you can generally buy. No... he wants to pretend he's a warrior. I dislike how he keeps killing livestock with his AOE and it's only a matter of time until he subjects me to a bounty with that sort of spellwork, unless I give him the boot. Sometimes he can be a bit spunky which is fun, but I hate how he gives me lip Every time I want to pass him some gear.
Lidia too gives lip when you want her to carry stuff which gets old after a while, although I don't mind when she's a steward. I generally love playing with Faendal as he's usually positive, but Don't play with him and a dog as he hates them and that gets annoying to hear too.

I don't really like Serana due to the constant whining...Though I think that is fixed with a mod, so she's back to the "like" list. I have yet to play DG on the PC to know for sure if she isn't annoying yet.

Dogs are another of my least favorite. They are ugly and they bark...another one fixed with mods. Thank you for making them cute and not bark for no reason.

I haven't really tried the other followers to know what others that will annoy me. The only ones that annoyed me are now fixed with mods. :D

Serana. She won't help carry stuff, she won't leave when you tell her to and mostly what's been really annoying about her is that her lightening spells shatter the ward on my spellbreaker so my own stupid follower is staggering me in combat.

It's constant whining...Constant. It would be one thing if it was a little whining here and there but it's constant. Makes me want to use all the fire spells and shouts on her, after stripping her essential tag after the quest line is finished. And then using Dawnbreaker or Auriel's Bow on her.

Thank goodness for mods so I don't get so annoyed over her constant whining. I mean, she complains about the sun. Fine, she's a vampire. She's allowed to whine about the sun, but when it is rainy, when the sun isn't shining down, then she's complaining about the rain. There's no in between with her. It's either "omg it's sunny out!" or "omg it's raining!" You just can't win. I think the only time she doesn't whine is when it is night out. That's the only time.

Also FiftyBucks has another point in how bad she can be. Though I'm not a mage so that ward thing doesn't bother me.

Exactly. Serana is my least favorite follower. Mostly because of the incessant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about everything. No pleasing her.

Forget about trying to sneak/snipe. She yells and jumps right in front of me as I release my arrow.
She will never change out of that stinky old armor either.
She never turns into a Vampire Lord, for whatever reason.

I try to finish Dawnguard as early as possible to get her out of the way. Plus it makes Ingjard and Beleval available for Stewardship.

Not really a follower, but how about Mjoll's little friend? If you marry her, you are probably going to want to whack him at some point.

I read on the Wiki that he will walk all the way from Riften to Sky Haven Temple in order to see her.
